Dual-band AC WiFi

For fast and reliable internet access, the Archer VR900 V2 features both a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, delivering a combined wireless speed of up to 1.9 Gbps.

The router supports AC WiFi which can deliver data three times faster than a traditional WiFi connection, whilst a dual-core processor helps to boost the data transfer rate so that you can stream, download and game with confidence.

With two USB 3.0 ports, the Archer VR900 V2 makes it possible to provide fast USB hard drive access, as well as enabling you to connect a printer to your wireless network. The router supports wireless printing from multiple computers, whilst a built-in media server lets you access music, videos and photos remotely.

In addition, four Gigabit Ethernet ports make it possible to create fast and secure wired connections to get your devices online.

Easy to install and manage, the Archer VR900 V2 features one-touch WPA wireless security encryption to keep you safe online. Guest Network Access provides secure WiFi access for guests, while parental controls let you create restricted access policies to keep your family safe.

Had the V1 of this for a good while. Absolutely rock-solid, never let me down.

Replaced with the AX50, all good so far!

Does anyone know if this is the TP-Link Archer C80 AC1900 is better?
Is this a good replacement for a BT Hub 2? Fed up of constant dropouts but BT won't replace because they claim their remote diagnostic is saying there's nothing wrong with it!

Replacing BT Hub is the very first thing you have to do to avoid dropouts. It is so rubbish. I have switched to this model and I recommend it. The disadvantage is you are losing BT diagnostics but it won't be required any longer anyway.
Can I use a any Cable router if I have a Huawei MT992 modem? I am about to upgrade to TalkTalk Fibre Gfast 150 mb and was looking at a getting better hardware.

Good router, decent file transfer speeds
Can't recommend this particular model. Worked great for about 10 months and then stopped working randomly.
I have been using the VR600 for a year or so now and blown away by the improvement it made over the ISP's modem router! Definitely would reccomend

If it had been another penny, you could have got £10 back from Quidco. Well, unless multiple items count towards the minimum spend, such as two batteries for £1.89. Offer ends tomorrow...
Does this work with Sky?
Brilliant router/server on paper but real world transfer speeds were not that grat even though it supports USB 3. It does not support latest Samba. Just had a look and they seem to have released new firmware 2 days ago, after 3 year break.

Sorry. Wrong version. The new firmware is for V3. This router is V2 and hasn't been updated since 2016.

So do you just remove existing BT Hub 6 and plug this in to the phone line instead or do you still need the BT Hub to piggyback from?

Correct. It is quite straightforward but you need to set up new router anyway. You don't need BT Hub anymore. I suggest to Google how to do this i.e. community.bt.com/t5/…345
vr2100 is out of stock online and none in local area for store pickup.

anyone used the vr900 with virgin media?

ive got the tenda AC15 and its just behaving weird.

it won't recognise my 8tb mains powered HDD unless its plugged into a usb extension cable first, totally weird!
it keeps dropping out the connection but the lights indicate everything is ok, however suddenly no network.
Bah totally missed this. Amazon want a fortune more
