All of the Whole home Wi-Fi system works in the same way. You need a modem router to get the internet access and connect this one to the modem router. And Other units can connect to the main one through wireless to build a whole home wi-fi with one name and seamless.

Do these have outputs on them at all?
They have two Ethernet ports on each one.

M4 equiped 2 gigabit ports on each unit.
