Would these work plugged directly into the ONT for a fttp home and removing the old router together??

Yes, you set up the deco to use PPPoE and enter your fttp username and password, I couldn't wait to get rid of my BT hub!

Bought a used set of these. 3 for £40. Obviously not a deal as such but if anyone is wondering if they’re good, they’re fab. The measure for me is the kids aren’t moaning about the “laggy internet” upstairs anymore

    Finally come as well 🙌

Depends on size of your dwelling really. 3 packs are usually £90-100. So if you only need 2 this is good and same per unit price.

Very stable not experienced any dropouts had them for over a year now. Max download I get is 248.80mbps 18.55mbps upload and I have virgin 500mb. Would like something quicker to make use of the 500mb

Probably want a more expensive setup with more antennae and 6 or 6E support. These cheaper ones are fine but don't prioritise speed, just coverage. But even with the best WiFi, to get the full benefit of speed you are really looking at wired devices, wireless will always have extra latency and interference.

Have three of these , never let me down and work faultlessly. Also easy to set up.

How does a two pack work - does one plug into the router and then you effectively have one more to move elsewhere and act as an extender?
    Hoodlord1's avatar
Exactly that, I set mine up today and very happy. Easy installation, download Deco app and follow onscreen setup.

Works flawlessly for personal use. However it appears to block VPN on my work laptop. Despite getting our network team and TP link talking to each other, the issue was never resolved

Could a setting that needs to be changed within the Deco app or router maybe?
VPN has worked fine for me

Disagree completely. Mine have been solid throughout the house

I've got 3 of the S4 model which have been great and cover the whole house and most of the garden. For anyone who wants to know more about the similarities and differences between M4 and S4 you can compare on their site:

    tp-link.com/uk/…653

It turns out the difference is these are taller!

I have the 3 pack of these, they are great and actually increased the speed of my broadband coming to my devices. Well worth it.

Hi, I heard that the TP link has one of the best parental control software. I would like to set a time quota for specific websites like youtube, roblox, etc. It is not the same as blocking a site, but giving maximum time kids can spend on a website. The kids can access other sites without quota. For example youtube max 45 min, roblox 45 min, total internet quota 4 hours.
Is there any router that provides such parental control. Thanks (edited)

I had 3 of these connected using ethernet worked so well for 2 years and they started glitching out and not working correctly I've just put them away and went back to the Virgin media router as i couldn't figure out what the issue was possibly a device on my network that doesn't play well with the deco devices
