Just be aware, this isn’t a mesh solution out of the box as it’s only a single unit. Not the pack of 3 that some of the pics might suggest.

Nothing to stop people adding to an existing setup or buying multiples to achieve the mesh though!
You can use it alone. I got the 3 pack and wasn't impressed. I put one on each floor and was only getting 50mbps from the node in the attic. I've currently set one up only, plugged the Ethernet cable into an existing powerline adapter in the attic (Hub is downstairs) and connected the Deco unit to it and getting between 90-110mbps consistently on a 125mpbs connection. I get the same speeds from the WiFi Powerline Adapter so I'm not sure if it's even worth keeping the Deco unit. Might replace it with the new Deco XE75 which has WiFi 6E which for me would justify keeping it. (edited)
