Doesn’t appear to, no.

I can only assume that the camera will take snapshots etc and email/send an app notification when movement is detected.

So does this work with a SIM card instead of WiFi .if it just takes photos.
No local storage just free TP-link cloud for 2 years
I have this camera looking out a window. It's been a rock solid WiFi connection for about 2 months. It just occasionally fails to upload of video from movement detection. Probably around 2 or 3% but no more. You can switch off the camera viewing but the unit stays powered. It has leds for night vision but that's no good through a window. It can't see in complete darkness but does a good job of a street at night lit by street lamps. Our street goes completely dark but the camera captures passing cars or pedestrians activating my pir lights. The Kasa app has been reliable too. I also have a Kasa 360 pan tilt camera... that switches on and off every day but has about a 30% failure rate to reconnect to my quite expensive router via WiFi. Not sure where the fault is. However if I leave it permanently switched on, once connected it stays connected. The TP Link Kasa stuff seems pretty good. Have the switches too and they work 100% via the app, and Google controlling the app. Don't have the light bulb.
