TP-Link HS110 Wi-Fi Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring - £24.99 @ Amazon

The energy monitoring version of TP-Link's smart plug. Not as good a price as during Black Friday, but this is typically as low as it goes other times of the year - indeed at the moment the non-energy monitoring version is the same price.

Controllable with app over wifi, via Alexa, IFTTT (beta channel), Stringify (also beta channel).

I have the non energy one, I assume. How does one monitor ones energy with these. They look identical. Is it via the app?

Tku!
Argos have HS100 version (no power monitoring) for the same price but with a 3 for 2 offer. If you need more than one the try Argos.
They work much better than the Wemo version.

Excellent smart plug !
The KASA app is also very reliable.
Got the ones from Argos and they work really well and simple to set up. I am not sure what the energy monitoring brings to the party.
The HS110 model was £20 on black friday on Amazon, £25 is pretty much the normal year round price for this model. Occasionally for a couple of weeks it goes to £35 but you would have to be a mug to buy at that price. Source = I have 5x of them

I only ever got for the HS110, but to be honest the energy monitoring is a little unreliable from my experience so probably not worth the upgrade over the HS100.

Its done via the app, there is a visual difference but its subtle. The HS100 has a grey centre circle and the HS110's is white.

Thats the hs100 model, these are the hs110
Energy monitoring is a gimmick, don't worry about it and get the Argos ones.

According to camelcamelcamel, the HS110 has only been at £25 three fairly short times during the past year, and below that only on Prime Day and Black Friday, so not sure how it can be considered the normal price. Having said that, the energy monitoring isn't overly useful for most applications, so I wouldn't buy more than one at this price - I got most of mine when Maplin had the deal on.

Mine haven't been unreliable, but I agree that for most uses they aren't worth the upgrade - I got some mostly out of curiosity for some of my gear.
