Not as good as a network splitter

Could you provide a typical domestic use case where a splitter is better than a switch?

Some people need more than just 2 cables

Of course.

A switch turns the ports on or off. A splitter enables all ports to use the same interweb at the same time.

Just join the wires together with a Chocblock.

LS1008G is in the Business networking category. The SG1008D is in the home networking category.

LS1008G is a better device with higher specs.
Have one of these.. Has done the job perfectly for me
Tp link make pretty solid switches. These are great for home use
daft question - if a 10/100 device is plugged into one of the ports, will that make everything else on it run at 100 too?

No, each will go as fast as it can

Does this have QoS capability or is that only on the managed versions
