Bonus is the battery power, enabling it to work anywhere. Cheaper tp-link options will also allow you to create a hotspot from a Ethernet port for use in hotels etc.
excellent price
Great price for dual band. Note that one Amazon review mentions the WiFi password is displayed on screen and cannot be disabled. Out of all the info I want on the display I'm not sure I want the password shown.
Looks great, Frank

I have similar and the device stays in a bag or a pocket and so the screen can't be seen unless you're really displaying it, but why would you?

This is a great price for this, perfect for use with the 100gb EE aim card that can be had for £10.

You need a sim card for it, where you have a signal it should work, and provided you have enough data.

Any point upgrading my osprey 4g to this?
I commute on trains / gaming laptop at hotel - would this create a more stable connection? My ping tends to spike a lot

I purchased this recently. The password is not displayed unless you scroll through the menu and select the password display option. Best thing to do is to keep it inside a bag or a pocket.

According to Amazon FAQ's "it takes normal sized sim card but comes with two adaptors for the smaller sizes", so micro and nano sim's are catered for too.

It's gonna have the same issue with being limited in speed due to WiFi N and not AC. I'm unsure if it can connect to your laptop via USB or otherwise to negate that like the EE device can.
I need one with external antenna support. Any ideas?

Price gone up to £69.16 now.
Hi All....

Can anyone provide me with their order no from Amazon for this item

I'm online with them and they are claiming that this was never priced at £49.99

If I can provide them with an order no that this was sold for £49.99 then they will give me the discount.

Anyone ??

received mine today. I'm getting just under 30mb download on 4g. The MIFI has a weaker 4g signal then my phone so where my phone hit 4G this device would only see 3G. I think if you get weak 4G signal this device might stick to 3G and struggle to get 4G. The device has no ts7 or Ts9 antenna ports. overall I'm happy I paid £50, I would of chose an alternative at the current price.
