Does anybody already have this and can advise if this can be pointed to my drive from inside my upstairs window and will it pick up good pics day/ight etc? TIA (edited)

I have 2 of these plus one outside, they are all excellent. Turn off the infrared light and just leave them set to day, not auto or night and the picture is fine.

No, I tried this and you get reflections which blur and obscure the view, better than nothing but nowhere near as good as an outdoor camera.

Yeah - I would say it depends which way your window is facing and whether the camera is pointing straight out at ground level or perhaps downwards towards the street on a floor higher up. If its predominantly east or west then you're going to get direct sunlight for portions of the day, north and south-facing windows should be less of an issue.

Can you view your full SD card recordings on your phone after an alert? Or do you need cloud subscription? My old Yi home cameras give me this, but better resolution would be nice.

Yes you can view the full memory card recordings at any time using the Tapo app theirs a playback section on the app which lets you access your recordings and gives you a drag along time line without any cloud subscription needed. These cameras also offer full support for ONVIF meaning you can use them with a NVR CCTV recording system if you want to.

    Great little device.
A few weeks ago one of ours caught a orb flying through the living room in the night

    The C110 is £21.99, the 1080p version is 19.99

To me it's a no-brainer get the C110 for £2 more your getting a camera with a better image resolution which should give more detail/clearer picture.

Need something for the house to keep an eye on the dogs, anyone have any advice on if these are good just for checking live feed primarily?

why do they ask you to enter all your details when you are setting up the device - who exactly is being monitored here? Is TP Link reputable anyway?
