TP Link RE200 AC750 Wireless Extender - £12.49 instore only @ John Lewis

I went to John Lewis expecting to pay around £24 for this (the price it was on their site yesterday and on the price tag in store), which was still the cheapest I found online from a reputable place.

I went to cashier and it came out at £12.49, which I think is half the price of the next best option.

Mostly decent reviews from everyone and I know there are newer and better models/products around but I didn't want to spend too much as this is a temporary solution for me.

Now the technical jargon:

- Up to 750Mbps AC Wi-Fi Speed
- Dual Band 2.4GHz (300Mbps) + 5GHz (433Mbps)
- 1*10/100M Ethernet Port
- Convenient wall-plug design
- Works with any Wi-Fi router
- Smart Signal Indicator

*Edit* - sold out online - I should have mentioned that but maybe you can get them to email you when it's back in stock if you don't have a John Lewis nearby.

I’m not very tech savvy. How does this work - do you just plug it into a socket anywhere in the house
OOS
Nice price for the item if you can get one.

You plug it in to an area which is within a decent range your current router and is near an area in the house which struggles for WiFi, it picks up the signal and extends it to the area surrounding where it's plugged in.

I haven't fitted mine yet, but that is how it should work. It should also be pretty easy to implement.
Mine is really flakey
These are pretty hopeless, but at this price it's not much of a risk
My mum has one and it isn't great
Like I said. It’s OOS but I disagree with others. Ours works a treat and boosts our signal brilliantly.
I use one of these for my YouView box. Apart from relaying/boosting the WiFi signal, it also has an ethernet port, effectively giving you the option to use a wired connection anywhere within range of your WiFi. Bought mine a while back in Sainsburys for about £15.
