Product Description

Expand any Wi-Fi Network by up to 10,000sq. With three external, dual band antennas and 700mW high-powered amplifiers, the RE580D can establish a stable wireless connection to any Wi-Fi router and augment the network's coverage by up to 10,000 square feet. The dual core 1GHz processor provides maximum Wi-Fi performance, keeps your smartphones and tablets connected as you move around your home.

Beamforming Technology for Accurately Focused Wi-Fi

Beamforming Technology focuses the Wi-Fi transmission in the direction of your connected devices, concentrating the signal where you need it the most. Superior Wi-Fi bandwidth utilization increases range and provides targeted, efficient Wi-Fi connections.

Simultaneous Dual Band Wi-Fi

Speeds of up to 1900Mbps. The RE580D utilizes the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard to deliver dual band Wi-Fi connections with combined speeds of up to 1.9Gbps (1.3Gbps on the 5GHz band and 600Mbps on the 2.4GHz band). This impressive speed means you can count on the RE580D to provide reliable connections for bandwidth-intensive tasks, such as HD/4K video streaming, lag-free gaming, and large file downloads.

Amazing online experience for wired devices

With five built-in gigabit Ethernet ports, the RE580D can provide fast, stable connections to all of your favourite wired devices, including smart TVs, game consoles, DVs, and Blu-ray players.

High Speed Mode

The RE580D can use both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands to create a single, lightning fast connection by transmitting data on one channel and receiving data on the other. This is especially beneficial when performing bandwidth-intensive tasks, such as HD video streaming or online gaming.

A Design For Easy Use

The RE580D features an intuitive, user-friendly design that makes installation, configuration, and positioning easier than ever.

Flexible Display

The RE580D and its display can be switched to vertical orientation so that you can enjoy the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality.

Can't you use Hamachi instead? There are good reasons why you can't but it's a thought.

That looks like a good option I didn't know about it, but I would need to leave a machine on all the time wouldn't I? (And coverage probably won't be as good)
Have been looking for a deal like this for a while.... Unfortunattly Amazon just shows price 74.99... independently of the posting method choosen... Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I'm also having issues with my virgin wifi, very weak signal in the room next to the hub. I presumed it was my walls as I have the new AC super hub. It's a nightmare on the laptop!

I got a free upgrade from 152mbit to 200mbit and new modem from Super hub to super hub 2. WiFi is a total **** and Internet is much slower in overall
700mW oO free internet for the whole street. My E4200 has 100mW transmit power and that has great range but 700mW is just incredible. How do they cool the beast ?
I don't understand how Range extenders work. For example If my main wifi router is in my bedroom and I place the extender downstairs in the opposite corner of the house. Isn't the extender just grabbing the wifi from upstairs anyway?

If I stand where the extender would be with my phone and I get 2 bars. How does the extender get a better connection if it's grabbing the same wifi source from upstairs? It should also be two bars no?
expired? cant see voucher

The idea of an extender is you place it somewhere where it can still pick up a good signal then send the good signal out again from this point therefore extending the wifi range.

Mine's exactly the same, maybe slightly better, but still dire X)

Will the extender boost the wireless signal or just extend its range?

You'll have to do a re-run when you get it and show us the results.

Edited by: "deeky" 23rd Apr 2016
that result is coming of a tplink router using my pc upstairs with a usb wifi dongle
when I have the extender set up I will post my results
