REMEMBER the IR is no good behind glass at night. If using to look out onto a car/garden etc you can turn the IR off in the settings but you will need adequate lighting outside to be able to see etc.

Anyone know if this supports RTSP protocol to view stream via 3rd party app like Tinycam. couldn't see it mentioned on product page so assuming no apart from this looked good value?

I think it uses onvif. I've got their other models and use them with tinycam and synology ds cam

Just check on tapo site and they say "The Tapo camera supports the RTSP protocol, so it can work with third-party NVR or NAS devices that also support the RTSP protocol" (edited)

Almost perfect, finally a camera where the user can choose between the type of infrared they want to use. However, I wish it was Homekit enabled and so I stick with my Aqara camera for now.
