    I have a set of Govee and these, these have not failed whereas govee have in the past so bought another set of these along with the Hue earlier.

    These are the cheapest they have been on here as far as I can see. £16.99 is the lowest they've been previously (edited)

    How do you keep them up? Last pair of lights I had had a sticky back and after a few days it just peeled away and fell down... compete waste of £20 for me!

    Just set mine up. Simple to do and app is dead easy to use. If I had to be critical maybe I wish they were brighter, but not gonna grumble at 15 quid!48782760-8QVGP.jpg

    Maybe a silly question, but is it possible to add motion-sensing to these so that they automatically light up on movement?

    Yes, but it will also depend what other equipment you have.

    If you have an Alexa, for example, and both motion sensor and lights are controllable through Alexa, you can create a routine.

    Am I right in thinking the strip is just a standard led strip and all the tapo "cleverness" is done by the controller? So there's no issue hooking my existing rgb led strip on their controller?

    Brilliant product. Highly recommended. Cost me a fortune on Halloween lighting up my window display. Ready for Xmas Now. Much brighter than string lights if you want them to be. You can turn them down with the app. Change colours. Have then flash in all types of ways. Cost pennies a day (edited)

    So many cheap lights like this on Amazon but random brands I guess, you can get similar for less than a tenner but I presume they will fail much faster

    These are amazing. From personal experience from buying different makes on amazon and for a few quid more I 100% recommend these over the likes of Govee

    That first image demonstrates cutting them with scissors? Is that a good idea?
    Obviously would be nice to have that flexibility, but doesn't that affect the functionality of it in terms of Wi-Fi and controlling number the app?

    There are sections on these where you cut them to size so scissors are perfectly safe to use and recommended to do so. It is merely to cut them down to size that is all.

    I have bought 2 of these before. We need an extender as they both go along different direction from the hub which is above the hood in our kitchen. We ordered one from Amazon but the connectors did not fit, does anyone else have experience with this?

    Taken from the Amazon description, "Flexible Installation – Flexible to bend and cut to stick or place in the exact spot you desire. Connectors are not included; you need to buy extra 4-pin connectors for reconnection"

    Are these actually individually addressable i.e. multiple colours at the same time as suggested in the pictures... Or just a single colour at a time?

    Think it's misleading. I've got some of these and can see no way to recreate the multicolour effect with a single controller. (edited)

    Does anyone have any idea what the warm white colour temperature is? Is it below 3000K or is it 3200K?

    The govee strips I have aren’t anywhere near true tungsten

    You can select very specific colours yourself and save them as favourites.
