decent but kind of always been this price

I bought one hoping it would match the photo - with the activity lights for each port up front - but got the same one everyone else got with the activity lights on the back only. The switch works otherwise, but kind of useless to have the lights on the back panel when this is supposed to give a clean look (i.e. all wires on back, all lights on front)

I've had it for 5 months and it's worked - functionally - very well... but I wouldn't buy it again because I think there are (probably) better options out there that are more cosmetically appealing
question to those that understand more than me:

Do different unmanaged gigabiit switches offer different levels of performance or are they all pretty much the same? I'm referring mainly to ones that are all roughly around this price point.

Sometimes I notice that with the D-Link I am currently using it seems as though when I use a lot of bandwidth it can't really direct traffic efficiently. Either that or the problem is more upstream, hence my question

Thanks!
Is this smart switch?
They are very good, but like robodan918 says, they're this price every other month it seems.

Nope not a managed switch if that's what you mean?

In my experience yes they can make a small difference, but it's usually the lifetime of the switch and stability that makes ones like this more worthwhile than cheaper ones.
I have one of these connected to my tv setup and a single cable running from my Virgin Hub. I have everything connected to the switch including Xbox, PS4, Appple TV etc. I’m using 7 ports and it has always worked perfect.
Does this have the same power for full speeds as it’s plug and play as opposed to a seperate Power supply ?

Plug and play is for the network cables being plugged in - it still needs plugged into the mains.
