Good price for USB to RJ45 Lan Wired Adapter from a known brand!

*Next best price is from Currys for £16.99

It has been 70p cheaper in the past, but I think it is still a good price if you don't have strong WiFi signal but have access to wired port.

I also find this particularly helpful for Network Admins, who still need these adapters to have console access to network devices or need direct access to switch, router, ESX hosts for the management.

TP-Link USB Type-C to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter is also available for £12.99

Would this generic one work on a Nintendo Switch? I’m assuming it does. Thinking of purchasing.

Depends on the chipset. GIgabit adapters with the AX88179 chipset are known to work.

Best feature is the Nintendo Switch comparability.

£10.69 Vs £28 for the one made by Hori with a Nintendo logo on.

Not like this is just Nintendo either lol, all companies do the same thing. Thing is the average consumer who doesn't look in to things much will buy these thinking they need to

In case anyone would want to use it also with an ultrabook/macbook, this one is slightly cheaper (after 15% voucher on product page) and comes with a USB-C adapter:

Might but not aware of a way to plug this in to it.

You can also use these on your smart TV to get faster 1:1 ethernet speeds rather than capped speeds.

Assuming you need >100Mb/s of course.

Can these be used on older PCs? Older as in 5 years old.
    Avatar
Yep should not be a problem at all.

if it has a USB port it should be fine...but a PC even 10 years old should have a gigabit ethernet port on it and you can pick up a PCI card for about £6 on ebay
