Ordered one of these last night. Seems a good deal. I'll be testing it tonight when I get home.

This adapter I don't think it is compatible with CommView, I believe the TL-WN8322N is, unfortunate. Good device for just a wireless connection though, however it doesn't have the best range from my experience. Sometimes networks will show up and sometimes they will not, but if it is close proximity, I wouldn't worry.
Ok deal but I think this is pretty much standard price for these as they are pretty old now as they only support the older 2.4GHZ standard and not 5GHZ, which can usually perform faster (with slightly less range as trade off). Though I can't find it at the moment Amazon used to quite regularly do the Aukey dongles with detachable aerial (will improve range over the built in type) and dual band 5GHZ and 2.4GHZ support for £5.99 on specials. Found a similar one here: amazon.co.uk/Int…7Q9 not on offer right now, but if you aren't desperate I'd hold out on this going on sale instead...
Have one of these, 2 up from this model, the T3U ac1300, stuffed in an oldish Qnap, that only had 150mbps wifi, absolutely rockets and would image that the 823n in this deal, is slower, but just as brilliant, especially for £6 odd!
Will this be ok for a TV that has usb but not smart enabled?

It adds WiFi to a PC or laptop. For adding smart functions to a TV your looking at a Fire HD stick or something like a Roku.

I think the usb on TVs are mainly for reading data devices and have no other capabilities. So probably not.
Thanks for your answers
Does anyone know if these support monitor mode/packet injection?
