I've got some of these and they work great. Cheapest price for a while.

This is the HS100 which is the one that doesn't include the energy monitor (which is HS110).

the 110 is much better for the price (usually 20-25)

I have the hs100s, is the 110 really worth the extra money? What do you use it with? I mainly use mine for lamps so knowing how much electric its using is pointless as ill still need the lamp on.

yeah the ones I have on lamps the hs100 is fine

I use the hs110 on computers and appliances mostly. Allows remote monitoring, remote on/off, scheduled on/off with IFTTT, energy reporting, etc.
i got it for £16 I think 1 year ago

Someone one got one from Asda clearance a few months ago for three quid, this is still the cheapest today and cheapest on Amazon ever.

A simple question?

How do you use these smart plugs. Here it goes first I open the existing plug of my appliance, plug in the smart plug connected to my WIFi then plug in the Kettle plug on top off the smart plug, now do I keep the smart plug on at all times and can I ask Alexa to "turn the kettle on" will Alexa listen straightway or not.

Can I use this smart plug with my Microwave "Alexa warm up my dinner" or my TV "Alexa switch my tv on or off" then my Cooker "Alexa warm up the left bottom gas hobb"

All I'm saying can you use this smart plug for every electrical appliance or device you have in your household. Thanks for replying.

The smart plug simply allows voice, or remote control of device power, ie on or off.
So you could plug a fan in it and use Alexa to turn it on or off by voice command. You could do the same with a lamp, TV, slow cooker etc. You can also do it all with remote access using the app on your phone.
Another good feature is the 'Away Mode' which you can use to turn lights on/off using a schedule, or on sunset, to make it look like you are at home while on holiday or simply out the house.
