These are brilliant value for money. Had one for a couple of years, still going strong.

Just about enough pressure for some tires.

Why is this in travel category? Hot though!

Up to 145 PSI.

Anyone know if this will work with presta style valves?

Not the most accurate pressure gauge in the world. But works okay.

Is this ok for normal bike tyres?

"• Dual pump head for all valve types"

All usually come with Schrader (car-type) & Presta adapters.

Asda is the same price. People need to realise that aldi and lidl are actually about the same price when you average it all out..

Thats true for some things but I'd like to know where you found this £6 asda track pump as I'm pretty sure there bell 100 track pump or whatever is about £14.

Owned one of these, then bought a footpump. Can honestly say a footpump is far more efficient & makes pumping things up far easier.

Depends what you are pumping, these are for achieving high PSI, this is great for a bike tyre but if you are inflating an airbed or something would take ages.

bought one of these last year, seal broke after a couple of pumps....worthless now

i bought one from Lidl in 2005 for £2.99!, still going strong, you need to keep it lubed, pardon the pun.not sure if these are the same quality?

So you took it back - or just moaned on HUKD?

Eh?

Do not buy. I bought one last year and used it hardly for 4 or 5 times and it broke. The latch which attaches to the tyre broke from the tube attached to the pump. Bad quality and flimsy. I bought one from argos for 10£ since and its excellent value. I strongly recommend not to buy this.

No point taking it back for physical damage. I hope you know that.

Same happened here. The seals break and they leak. And the head isn't great. It comes loose.

I think I've proved my point, they are worthless...

I had one c6yrs back from either Lidl or Aldi - when after about 18 months the Presta seal broke on mine (without my abusing it) I just emailed them, in I think Germany (as I'd kept the "manual") and they promptly sent me a replacement hose/head. Earlier this year the plastic gave up the ghost more generally - so have a metal one on order from Halfords at £11 net (but thinking of this Aldi £6 one now, tho can't see mention of 3yr warranty which I'm sure my old/broken one had)

got this pump last year, works well on both my roadie and mtb. hot

track ? yeah so many of us are on the velodrome every other day.

TBH spend more and get something like the Topeak Joe Blow Max II Track Pump.
I bought one of these aldi specials and it only lasted a few months so i bought the Joe Blow and it been used and abused since and still works like new.
I will say though that quite a few bits and bobs that aldi sell in the cycle events are quite decent though for the price.

are these still in stock

For occasional use then these are great. If you're going to be needing a track pump for extensive use then spend more and buy a more robust unit. For God's sake people these are £6, what are you looking for? If they break have you tried taking them back to Aldi? I've never had any issues at all with their returns/customer service - just keep your receipt, it's not rocket science.

Just got one of these. No rubber on the feet so don't use on hardwood flooring. Its quite tall, 685mm fully extended must be over a metre. For Schrader, presta and Dunlop with 3 adapters for balls, airbeds etc.
Tested on a cycle with presta valve. Inflated from under 30 to 60 psi within 10 secs. Very easy to use with little effort required.
