sadly not, Tracktion 7 is x86 only, details on here tracktion.com/pro…daw
it looks like you need to pay for Tracktion Waveform for pi support

They frequently have sales on upgrade pricing although less rarely for upgrades from the free versions.
T1 got me across the hardware bridge back in 2004. I use Waveform now. A great DAW, and T7 for free is hard to beat.

CockOS Reaper is also an excellent DAW. It's $60 which is £47 but technically you don't have to pay if you don't want to support the developer as the trial period never ends if you don't register. I personally think Logic Audio is a bargain for £199 but you need an Apple Mac to use that.

"An excellent DAW" but clearly not excellent enough for you to consider purchasing it for the measly price of $60, the DAW is not FREE at all and regardless if you want to support the dev team or not you should pay after the 60 day evaluation period
Of course if you're the particular type of person, you know the ones, yeah them, who chooses not too then that's on you.

How anyone can say "technically you don't have to pay" is beyond me

And if you want a top quality DAW for free then go check out Bandlabs Sonar , better in every single way than Tracktion

Hold on buddy, first of all why are you assuming I haven't paid. Secondly I posted the FACT that CockOS Reaper does not force you to pay. Get your facts right before you cast aspersions and frankly many people wouldn't have known it existed had I not linked it. I definitely did not say don't pay for it!

Also speaking of facts Bandlabs Sonar is now known as Calkwalk

The legend returns.
SINGAPORE, WEDNESDAY 4 April 2018:
BandLab Technologies today announced the relaunch of SONAR as Cakewalk by BandLab - available free-to-download to all BandLab users worldwide.

Yes amazing really that they only support Windows. CockOS Reaper supports the three main operating systems Windows, macOS and Linux.

ALSO I should have said that YouTube has plenty of tutorials for most of these DAWS and if you like something different but definitely not free, there's Propellerheads Reason 10 (£299) >

Thanks for all of the excellent advice. Up until Moshe has only really used Garageband and at school Sibelius

I think Sonic Pi supports Midi now in the latest versions. It is bundled free in the NOOBS version of Raspbian. Not strictly a DAW in the usually sense but great fun. More like an instrument.
I've used it to teach kids how to hack Minecraft as it is easier than Python.
My favourite daw is Fl Studio, free lifetime updates for that!

You didn't say "don't pay for it but that is exactly what you implied, don't be so pedantic,we both know that is what you were suggesting people do.
