Until December 31, 2013 or while supplies last, trade in a selected Xbox 360 or PS3 game via the Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Programme and you will receive a £15 Gift Certificate, plus an additional Promotional Claim Code worth £22 which you can use towards selected Xbox One or PS4 games. The Offer is limited to a maximum of one Offer per customer.

How to Claim:
1. Trade-in your Xbox 360 or PS3 game (each a "Qualifying Item") from the list of titles below via the Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Programme.
2. If your trade-in is accepted, you will receive a minimum £15 Gift Certificate for the game, plus a Promotional Claim Code worth £22 (the "Code") which you can use towards the purchase of one of the selected Xbox One or PS4 games (each a "Promotional Item").
3. When you are ready to purchase your qualifying Xbox One or PS4 game, add a Promotional Item to your Shopping Basket by clicking the “Add to Basket” button.
4. When you’re done shopping, click the “Proceed to Checkout” button. The Code will be automatically applied to your total order value at checkout, reducing the price of the Promotional Item. If you checkout with more than one Promotional Item in your basket, the discount will only apply to the cheapest Promotional Item.

Here is a simple explanation on how it works, taking FIFA 14 as an example.

1. Trade in your PS3 FIFA 14 on Amazon for £15.
2. Amazon will check the game condition, and if everything is perfect, £15 will be credited into your bank account.
3. In addition to that, you will also receive £15 Gift Certificate (which you can spend on pretty much everything on amazon), and a £22 worth of Promotional Claim Code.
4. On 22nd of November 2013, log on to Amazon and add PS4 FIFA 14 (price is £48) in your basket and proceed to check out.
5. The Promo Claim code will automatically reduce the price of PS4 FIFA 14 to £26.
6. You can then choose to pay the full amount of the £26, or you can use the £15 gift cert, leaving the final amount that you need to pay to just £11.
7. Enjoy the game:)

ps: Please do not put high expectation that they will put popular games such as FIFA 14 and GTA V under the 'Promotional Item' list.

I hope this helps.

So £15 into bank, £15 gift certificate, and £22 off certain ps4 games?

Isn't this just for FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 or Need for Speed: Rivals which has been mentioned here before on numerous occasions????

I think you've misunderstood. You won't get £15 in your bank as well as a gift certificate

My understanding of this is that you get a £15 gift card for one of the selected games if condition is like new. Not too sure where you are getting the extra £15 from. Worth checking through this very carefully, I feel.

So you get £52 total credit?

£15 + £15 + £22?

So you trade in your PS3 copy of a game for a PS4 copy and MAKE £4?
That's what it sounds like in the terms....
I suspect there's £15 too much being credited here in the terms?

The terms say that you will be credited with £15 to your bank.
"IN ADDITION TO THAT you will get a £15 gift certificate"

Basically, you get £15 gift certificate to use on anything and £22 that you can only use towards one of the next gen games... But if you bought them from Game it'd only have cost you around £10 extra to upgrade, whereas this is costing £11 and has hassle involved with sending it to them and waiting for them to get it etc.

From the site, it says

Nowhere does it mention £15 into your bank.

Try reading Term 2 again.... >.>

"1. Trade in your PS3 FIFA 14 on Amazon for £15.

Wait a minute, so the OP wrote the second set of steps as an "example" and not Amazon?

In that case, there's where the confusion lays...

This is what I received from amazon after trading in my FIFA 14 yesterday.

I have done this offer, I traded in diablo 3 on xbox I got £21.50 for the game and £22 towards a next gen game. I got Ghosts for xbox one it cost me £4.50 all in. There is loads of good deals to be had do not vote this cold is a great deal.

Also a friend of mine got £18.60 for a copy of Payday 2, so with the trade up promise he has £40.60 towards a next gen game. Like I said a great deal!!

Got an e-mail today saying i qualified for this despite not trading anything in Ended up with * 2 vouchers and got battlefield 4 for free

So can you only trade in Battlefield, Fifa or NFS to be entitled to the extra £22? It's not clear at all??

I never traded in anything done have a clue how i got it.

SoundwaveUK as I said above mate,I traded in Diablo3 and a friend of mine traded in Payday 2 so no its not limited to those titles.

Appreciate the input mate. I guess I just don't like how it's not clear...I only get £20 trade in for GTA V, which I may as well keep the game if I'll only get that, but it's the extra amount which really makes it worth my while.

Thanks again though for chiming in.

I sent my Xbox 360 copy of Fifa 14 on Monday and Amazon had emailed me today saying that I have £15 credited to my account (as part of the Gift Card deposit). In the email, it says "Congratulations. This trade in qualifies you for a £22 Promotional Claim Code towards selected Xbox One or PS4 game".
Amazon haven't sent me a unique code of any sort. I added the Xbox One copy of Fifa 14 to checkout, to check if £22 is saved from the sale price but that isn't the case.

Has anybody taken part in this trade-in deal? If so, how did you manage to receive the £22 Promotional Claim Code from Amazon? Thanks.

I suggest speaking to the web chat team there very good.

So in the checkout page before pressing the 'Place Your Order' button, did you see anything with regards to the £22 discounted? Because right now, I don't see anything and I don't wanna risk placing the order with only the gift card discount applied.. for obvious reasons.

I spoke to someone from customer services. The guy said that I will receive the promotional code via email, but he couldn't tell me when exact. So I guess I have to wait till I receive the email and then place the order... which suuuucks!

The e-mail i got stated

The exact same thing happened to me. Just contact Amazon online. The customer service agent applied the discount after I ordered the xbox one game whilst I was online
