The old voodoo card has served me well, time to upgrade.
"up to"
They will offer you crap money and also if you reject you most likely wouldn't see it again or be damaged similar to what mobile companies do like Music magpie
Such a faff for a few quid difference. No thanks.

I believe you can trade in cards from any brand.

£105 for my GTX 970 isn't a bad offer. £45 more than CeX, and better than eBay.

Edit - offer is when buying a 2070, drops to £75 for the 2060. £165 when buying the 2080ti.

it tells you how much you get before you send off - its in the link, you can trade in a gtx 1050 fro a gtx 1650 - 137.99 from aria and get £75 cashback which I thought wasnt bad, certainly more than you would get from cex etc
Suprised I could get £165 for my 1050 if I were to trade up to a 2080ti! I only paid £100 for it a couple of years ago haha
yeah, my 660 is worth something which is pretty surprising considering its ancient.
Not bad, qualifying retailers are a tad more expensive than others and it'll cost a bit to package a card to asus. Suppose depends how old your card is but may not be worth if you have a 980ti or upwards. Think the only cheapish one was the 2070.
Edited by: "lemming3k" 6th Jul
Might be worth noting that there's no mention of the 2060 Super or 2070 Super coming out on this offer, so to qualify you'd have to buy a card being removed from retail potentially
i can get £35 for my 750ti, which i think i paid £100 for about a billion years ago and cex would allegedly give me £21 for

They offer £125 for a GT 650, 730 if you're buying a 2080ti. If you're going to buy one a 2080ti you may as well buy an old trashy GPU on Ebay for £20 and trade it in for £125.

£100 for gtx1050 (regardless of the version, ti or not) is still a bad deal

Whole point of these schemes is nothing to do with trade in card resale. Odds on they do it to justify a rebate. Write some tax off and also reduce the second hand market, reducing supply of old cards. This helps drive used prices up and encourage new purchases.

In short Asus saves money and gets more sales. All while selling off the non super cards before they have to dump prices.

I spotted this the other day and was hoping they might do it for the Super range too. I have 970 and I want a 2080 Super...might as well have £105 off it

Wow that’s a £65 discount off a >£1,000 card.
You only have to buy a 2080ti a >£1,000 card and trade in 1070/1080 for the ‘best’ cashback.
105 quid off a 2070 from a 970... worth tbh drops it to 370. 970s basically worth nothing these days my bro has had a strix 970 sitting in a box since his 1080ti upgrade years ago... such a waste

This is dumb... 1070 and 1080 worth more than 270 so why would u do that??? This deal is literally for handing in mid ranged cards that will only get the same value selling yourself
Selling stock before the Super range come out. If I’m not mistaken the 2070s and 2080s are cheaper than their non S counterparts (which are stupidly expensive) so you are most likely wasting your money on this offer. Also AMD have just dropped their Navi prices prior to release so best see how all this pans out In genuine reviews this weekend.

Are you saying 1070s are worth more than £270? They go for ~£200 on eBay. 1660 Ti is basically the Turing equivalent and even they're about £250 retail, brand new.

S versions are just a rip off... tiny performance gains over the standard versions... they did this years ago with like 5 versions of the same card with few more cuda cores and such... utterly pointless for the extra cost

Amd is trash and always will be until they learn how to do drivers. Ive tried amd twice and twice ive been let down. They have the hardware but the drivers are just awful microstutter and stuch frame latency... just annoying af
How can I check how much I can get for my GTX760? The website doesn't let me get a quote unless I've already purchased something

You should be able to pick the card you are planning to buy and select your card on the qualifiying products pages. What you'll with a 760 get also depends on what you'd be trading up to (by their definition); Good (1650 - 2060) £35, Better (2070 and some 2080 models) £65 and Best (the rest) £125
270 for trading in a 1080ti.....yet 165 for an RX580......i feel thats the trade in equivalent of pain and pleasure.

S versions are apparently faster and cheaper (except the 2060S which is faster but more expensive).
Not had problems with AMD drivers for many years.
Got a 1070 at the moment but would be happy to switch to AMD if Navi pulls it off.

Refer to the 3 tables in the terms page: asustradeup.com/gb/…rms

The 760 is in the 'Good' category, so it is the first column in the 3x3 matrix you should be looking at.

They don't want Vega cards back
The question is, if they offer you 150 for a car you could only get 100 for, but they card costs 200 more than the competition, its kinda worthless.

They probably have the 2080ti £200 pricier than everyone else, rendering the offer useless

So you need to buy a specific cars (which will be pricier) for an extra £14?

Better off buying a non Asus 50 quid cheaper.
I’d be very careful with asus, I traded in a ps3 when I bought my gaming laptop and they rejected my claim stating it had a fault with the Blu-ray drive (games were working fine when I packaged it) they kept the device and gave me nothing back
Not worth it for a GTX 980 ti
I could get the maximum £270 for my 1080 Ti if I bought a 2080 Ti. Considering I could get over £500 for that card on eBay, I think not.

Who have? You can buy a card from any qualifying retailer, which are all the usual suspects like Scan, ebuyer, etc.
