Are these "dimmers" just one button?

They twist to dim. But they're not attached, held on with magnet, so you can move them about too.

The dimmer is actually a holder/base with a magnetic unit that can be rotated with a dial-effect.
But tbh, it's pants. Very erratic sensitivity, no precise control.

I've kept mine only in case I need to use a pairing device again.
Anyone know of this is national?

I was in Warrington this week and the smart bulbs were normal price. That could've changed since Thursday though...
This is clearance of the original dimmers, given the new square dimmer is much improved and only a tenner with this bulb this deal doesn't seem very good.
Depends what you are after. I find the old style dimmer to be fine. I use Siri anyway for most of the automations.
Word of warning. The tradfri system is okay, but rubbish when using Apple HomeKit.

Works perfectly with Alexa though.

Works ok for me, but occasionally I have to restart the Tradfri hub to get it to talk to my Apple TV again.

Obviously not as good as hue, but for the price I’m pretty pleased with Tradfri.
I use both Hue and Tradfri at the same time with HomeKit and it seems fine so far
I’ve had several of these since the Tradfri system first came out. Avoid them at all costs.

The Tradfri system itself is excellent and the bulbs very good. The dimmers fail continuously however, in various ways. Most of these lead to having to reconnect them to both the gateway and bulbs. Which then leads to issues with Alexa, HomeKit, etc.

Ikea have just released their replacement dimmers as these were known issues. They are infinitely better, cheaper and I’ve yet to have any issues.

I find it fine. TBH never used with ikea hub, but to directly control the (hue) bulbs in my living room it works great.

I wasn't so lucky, but tbf perhaps that's only because I was comparing it to other controllers I own (Hue dimmer) that give better results
