Oh no, don't get these - they will flood your house, invalidate your house insurance as they are not a certain standard and you won't be able to replace the ceramic washers and a plumber will charge you a fortune to fix the mess they leave.....oO

Looks a dead ringer for a Franke tap I bought a couple of months ago, rrp £120.

I've never needed to replace a ceramic washer but I take your point. If it looks too cheap etc...

You know, I think you're right. It's probably a Franke in disguise..

Come on people, let's think about this. £9.65? Postage must be around £3.00 so that leaves £6.65. Then Ebay fees at 10% = £0.96 leaving £5.65. Sellers profit let's say £2, leaving £3.65.
Then there's postage from China, manufacturer's costs and profit, let's say £1.50 in total which leaves us with a tap whose materials cost in the region of £2. Now that's gonna be quality!!

If you can fit it yourself and dont mind replacing it in 6 - 12 months when the drip is driving you mad , or if you're about to move house, then it's a great deal. They have sold 8000+ after all.

Maybe Franke were impressed by the inspirational Chinese design and copied it! Seriously, check out the Franke Pro Top Lever and compare. Not identical but very close though I know which one I'd recommend, even though my current Franke kitchen tap which I probably paid top dollar for as part of a kitchen re-build a dozen or so years ago has turned out to be partly chromed plastic., proving that you don't always get what you pay for.

No, hopefully, you've just got a tap that looks like this one and, if it's lasted 4 years, it is probably made from better quality components and machined to a higher standard than these are. As with so many Chinese imports, these taps are just copies of branded taps but made as cheaply as possible.

That said, I'm no fan of branded taps either as their over inflated prices are hard to justify, but at least they are well put together using good quality components.

But then it's only a tenner and if you dont need to pay a plumber to install it, what have you got to lose?

I'm sorry cold. You get what you pay for with taps.

Probably the majority of it made from plastic be warned.

Anybody that is pulling this deal down, have you actually bought this tap? I have bought this exact tap from this buyer, fitted it myself and have had no problems whatsoever. Alright it's only been in a few months but for less than a tenner delivered and includes 2 braided pipes. Don't know what people expect, too many sheep on here.

Ordered - can't really go wrong at that price. If no good upon receipt will get a refund.

I prefer this one to myself although it cost a lil more

There are lots of taps on ebay for under £15 delivered or varying designs ( some with 5 yr or lifetime guarantees)

Since they started using ceramic discs they hardly ever have problems ( with the old rubber washer taps you needed quality as you had to dismantle them to replace the washers. With ceramic discs usually when the taps are replaced the taps are still working fine ( just replaced due to fitting a new kitchen or bathroom).
Ignore the scare stories from people trying to justify their £100+ tap purchases.

My cheap toolstation taps have been working fine for the past 3+ years ( and they would have been even cheaper on ebay than toolstation).
My partner has a similar ebay tap to the one listed and hers has been problem free ( its been installed about 2 years).
