Excellent film

Denzel Washington delivers a powerful Academy Award-winning performance as Los Angeles detective Alonzo Harris, a veteran narcotics officer whose methods of enforcing the law are somewhat questionable. Training Day follows Harris over the space of 24 hours as he shows the ropes to rookie Jake Hoyt on the mean streets of South Central LA. Confronted with his colleague's unlawful methods, Hoyt faces up to some difficult ethical dilemmas in this compelling urban cop drama.

I loved this film, great price for it DealMeIn

" Good film but did he seriously win an Academy Award for that !??!"

He got the award after 9/11..
Even he made a remark that evening about three black actors winning..Sidney Portier + Halle Berry won also...My view is Hollywood (who have very close links to the government) 'arranged' this to unify the indeginous popluation..War on terror and all that rubbish..

Very good film though

The Oscars are a joke anyway.

Denzell was good as always though.

'Portier'? 'indeginous popluation'?

Keep your cretinous views to yourself and buy a dictionary.

Great film

Great performances by Denzel and Ethan Hawke

Good film. Although I thought Washington's peformance was played well but a bit too OTT. It's a bit hard to imagine a cop that out of control maintaining a position in the LAPD.
