My favourite John Hughes comedy I can watch this time and again, fab picture quality too

A stressed executive (Steve Martin) and a bluff travelling salesman (John Candy) form an uneasy alliance when their plane is grounded due to bad weather. Candy offers to share a hotel room with Martin while they wait for the storm to subside, and Martin accepts.

Nothing like watching this movie on Thanksgiving when in the States. The scene where he sees John Candy as the Devil is classic. The movie is up there with Blues Brothers and Die Hard.
Great film!!!

I used to have 2 friends from college, knew them up until about 10 years ago, they hated John Candy, fortunately I don't know either of the clowns anymore

A wonderful film with a big heart. Always makes me cry with laughter. "YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY", "Oh he's drunk! How would he know where we're going?"
Greatest film ever!

It's set around the Thanksgiving holiday, which is roughly a whole month before Christmas. It's not a Christmas movie.
John Candys face at the end.

True. But that's exactly why it works perfectly as a Christmas movie in this country.
One of my fave movies. Watched it again a couple of days ago
Great film, but these sorts of movies should be free on Prime. Hate the way they charge for stuff after people paying for sub. Cold from me.
