Well I didn't know Poundland did £2 relatively recent Blu-rays, so thanks for posting. Ignore the pointless negative comments.
Yes, blu-rays are normally £1-2 in Poundland, but Trainspotting 2 is a new addition. This is a deal. Thanks for sharing OP.

..never seen the cover art that the mod has uploaded before :)...that isn't the art on the UK blu-ray.
Before someone says it... Ultraviolet is closed but the code will either give you a redeem for Sony's service (that will probably be shut down and be merged with Google Play) or just give you a Google Play code right away.

Ok superpanda. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
Does anyone know if Poundland blu-rays are genuine brand new anymore, most have stickers with replay and new printed on the same sticker, and they did used to be just a £1!

Follow the instructions on the leaflet/pullout thingy and you should get the option for Google Play redemption. Don't go through Flixster

Can you buy this Blu-Ray elsewhere for £2 or less? If you can't, then it's a deal as it is more expensive everywhere else to buy this item. Is it really that hard to understand?

This doesn't allow you to redeem in Google play. It also is not available in Flixster. You can only redeem this movie to your Sony pictures library. Same with Life too which was also posted.

Redeems fine to the Ultraviolet/Flixster library...just tried it myself...must be specific to the Sony releases...the others get redirected to Google Play.

I bought this on Thursday from Poundland. But it is not available on Flixster for redemption. The title no longer exists, could not even search it. I contacted Warner Bros and they confirmed this too. If you already own it however, it will still be in your library. And yes about 50% of Sony now redeem in Google. This movie, life, Larry flynt, resident evil final chapter, taxi driver etc still do not.

Interesting stuff. I recently redeemed Dracula and it went to GP so I assumed Sony had made the switch for everything. My bad.

I understand fine thanks. We could list every blu-ray Poundland stocks as a deal in that case, because their blu-rays are always £2 which will almost always be cheaper than anywhere else. This is nothing new.

Heat for this deal. Must be a new wave of different titles.
I saw fast 5,6,7 at £2 each yesterday at Poundland fort. had a whole load of other good titles but unfortunately I had already purchased them.non the less it's a good deal for the range of titles they have now.

But why would I want to buy a film like T2? I chose not to choose T1: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got a nostalgic money-making sequel?

I bought this the other day and can confirm it was brand spanking new (with blu-ray branded cellophane) as were all their copies, even though marked up as 'pre-owned'.

I suspect it's a condition when distributors sell on excess stock to resellers they're required to mark them as pre-owned so as not to damage the 'new' value elsewhere. I imagine this is what happens with thetradeinn stuff on eBay too which is nearly always new but marked as pre-owned.
I grew up in the 90s and worshipped the first film. I couldn't help but feel disappointed with T2 but it does have its moments. For £2 you can't go wrong.
No more! No more!
Redeems just fine at Sony to stream.

Yes a lot of blu rays are £2 in Poundland, but this is a new, worthwhile addition and good to know about. I'm sure there's a lot of tat when it comes to Poundland dvds and blu rays. You may not class it as "deal" in relation to all the other blu ray prices in Poundland even though they are all of varying degrees of quality, but it's a deal in relational to the price of this blu ray everywhere else. Hence a deal. Not sure of the need to be so anal about things like this. Anyway, a very worthwhile sequel I felt for fans of the original, obviously nowhere near as good or revolutionary as the original but that's saying a lot, it's still a decently solid movie. Would like to see them expand on the books even more with another sequel at some point perhaps.

Weird - I can still access my movies via Flixster. I found this website: theinquirer.net/inq…ril
Flixster aint closing down, so your always be able to watch your movies and still redeem them.

Please note that the shutdown of UltraViolet on July 31, 2019 will not impact the titles in your Flixster Video collection or your ability to view those titles. You can also continue to redeem valid digital codes for movies and television shows on Flixster Video after the UltraViolet shutdown, but these redemptions will no longer be added to your UltraViolet account and will only appear in your Flixster Video collection.
