Not sure if this is a glitch or whether it's intentional! The Trainspotting steelbook is showing up on the 4DVD store as £19.85 if you buy it on its own, but as part of the two for £10 offer if you buy it with one of their other films.
In short, buy the Trainspotting steelbook for £10 and get another free DVD along with it. Sounds good to me!

NB: says "limited time offer", but doesn't specify when this limited time offer will end

Nice find.

Good spot - thanks!

ordered! great spot!

Spooky - I was just watching clips on youtube....

Nice find. Already got the Trainspotting steelbook, so ordered Shallow Grave & Brassed Off.

I take it the actual movie is on Bluray? Description doesnt seem to specify...

Nearly twenty years old this movie, well, just over eighteen... (February 96)...

Blimey.

Great movie

Looks like you can get three for £10 if you go for the east is east/west is west combo too!

Trainspotting and Room with a View

Which is itself much cheaper than its DVD equivalent at £8.75 for 2 films.

It's a good film

You've seen it

Probably multiple times

If you liked it 20 years ago or whatever it was you probably got the DVD then

Why on earth would you buy it now?

Because it's in some markety steel?

Woopie doo

Really bad transfer by all accounts, worse quality than the DVD version

Thanks, been looking to buy this for months, at £5 for the steel book is a 'steal'. Thanks

Heat added!

So there's no point buying any Blu-ray then is there? (seeing as most films are available on dvd). Some of us have moved on from the format which is also nearly 20 years old.

released 8/3/96.

Ace! Thanks OP, picked up this and Touching the Void. Both great films

Will have to see about returning for the motorcycle diaries and poss another trainspotting

Awesome deal but if you're not interested in the steelbook then £11.50 for Trainspotting, Shallow Grave, Gangster No 1 and Sexy Beast is worth looking at. @ Amazon

Expired now. Trainspotting removed from deal - just as I added it to my basket.

Tried it with Sexy Beast but it goes to check-out at £27.

not surprised its been removed, I'm sure I'm not the only one who bought two copies of Trainspotting as it was such a great deal (and no I'm not selling my spare copy for profit, passing it to my bro for FREE )

bailey87 - this wasn't available on DVD in it's first release. I got mine as a VHS boxset, which came with orange tinted glasses...

So thanks to people buying two copies I get denied the chance to own a steelbook at a bargain price, annoying

I was one of the first to order (actually, before it was even posted in here) and I just received an email of cancelling my order.

They did however offer a complementary copy of the film in dvd or blu-ray...Just not steelbook.

Too bad... I actually didn't buy it at Fopp covent Garden last week for £7 and I regret it now.

What they've basically done is lied to us. They dont want to fulfil anyone's order because they made a mistake of listing it as 2 for 10 in the first place.

Of course ive taken the complementary blu ray but its not the same is it..

Sure it's not the same, but you have lost nothing. You have gained a free Blu-Ray which does not happen every day.

I also received the email, and opted for the Blu-Ray.

They havent lied. They had stock, they sold some, now they dont have stock. simple

I got the email also.

I doubt they did sell out, as most people ordered on Sat, and it was removed from the site on Sun..... they'd have known they didnt have enough stock by the time Monday lunchtime came around

but hey, a free BlueRay of Trainspotting instead, not ideal, but they could have just said, not enough to fill.. tough

has anyone actually received this steelbook because if they didn't then there gunna be giving away a load of free copies of the film

Just sent me a £5 refund and no bluray. Ballsacks.
