nice deal, glad to see somthing more interesting than IPADS!

it can be more cost effective to get Pro with NI hardware though such as the x1 or f1, etc..

The phrase "you get what you pay for" comes to mind!...
The Pro version of VDJ is the only one worth having and that costs around £250 although you do get free updates for life. Yes you can get it free illegally but it will be as stable as a one legged table and be completely unsupported. If you want to use that for professional work then fill ur boots.

Traktor Pro 2 at this price is a steal and gets heat from me. I used to use VDJ (GENUINE pro version bought & paid for) and have since gone over to Traktor Pro 2 (got it free with my Kontrol S2 controller) and personally I prefer Traktor although for general DJ'ing there aint much in it.

If you want to go into playing video's then it would have to be VDJ...
Use this with my Pioneer CDJ's, great price
Any tutorials online? reviews/comparisons to other software? I might be interested in getting into it but I have no idea.

I've got Pioneer 800's Mk2 ... Could I use this with them?
Would I need to add any other hardware to do this?

Just spotted this on the link:
Please note: This TRAKTOR version IS NOT capable of reading timecode vinyls or CDs. If you wish to use a digital vinyl system with SCRATCH functionality

Great price for great software. I've been using scratch pro but I'm going to buy this for a second PC. Can you scratch on this version with a midi controller?

Virtual DJ is terrible and laggyy. I was at BPM this year and everything running it was just laggy and ugly.
Virtual DJ has its uses because for one you can mix using videos!
I have yet to work out how to use this with my soundcard attached to my speakers as the put master and the soundcard inside my decks as the output monitor with headphones. So, basically to use it sensibly. It only seems to support one soundcard which is useless. ASIO4ALL is terrible. Windows 7 can cope with multiple soundcards, Virtual DJ and Serato can cope with it, it's only Traktor that is living in the past which is frustrating because it's otherwise the best!

Proper Ting!!
Great software and a steal at this price. Yes you really need a decent soundcard if you want to use this to optimum potential, but if you have a controller with soundcard built in go for it. Has more potential than serato with great looping, cuepoints and vast range of effects but Serato is more user friendly. If you're in market for this double check the computer specs and go for it, its awesome
If I didn't have kids I'd still be a talented DJ lol
This is the best dj software available and is used by many professional dj's around the world. It is the best thing i have ever bought after my Technics 1210's and i use it with the absolutely stunning Traktor S4 controller which has a built in club quality soundcard.

To use separate decks with Traktor, you would need the Traktor scratch pro upgrade which can be bought separately from Native Instruments. You would get timecode cd's & vinyl with that upgrade.

Hot deal!
Although Traktor has ALOT more bells and whistles I do prefer Serato for its stability.

Rated hot though.

I have this as i got a copy free with my X1.

Comparing this to Serato is like comparing apples and oranges as this version of Traktor does not allow operation via timecode vinly/cds. Serato is 10 times more stable than Traktor when using timecode hence my original comment.

Due to the limitations of this program i would recommend going for Ableton as it can do everything traktor can but so much more and it free if you know where to look;)
