Similar to my other deal post which is Transcend 300x microSDHC Class 10 UHS-I 600x (Premium). This one claims up to 90MB/s seq read (600x) as opposed to 45 MB/s (300x). I suspect the write and the random read/writes are similar. Therefore the 600x is better suited to higher end digital camera and camcorder use and frequent data transfer of GBs of data. My other post for Transcend 300x microSDHC about £1 cheaper is better suited for smartphones and tablets where there is much more random read and writes.
Normally the firmware optimises faster sequential reads and writes at the at the expense of random read/writes.
Built-in Error Correcting Code (ECC) to detect and correct transfer errors

I am not exactly sure how come it's a 600x and at the same time is 20MB/s... I believe it is a mistake by mymemory as TS32GUSDHC10 doesn't seem to be 600x at all. Just a standard Premium sd card.

The 20MB/s may be an error as this is not claimed on Transcend web site and also the other sellers' web site. The 1X was a notation used when optical drive first came out 1X = 150k/s sequential read, since then the speed of sequential read went from 1X to 2X, 4X, 16X ... and now this is 600X so 150k/s X 600 = 90MB/s

The product code for Transcend Premium 300X is correct , click here
The product code for Transcend Ultimate 600x is also correct (extra suffix U1 means no adapter) click here
You will find this Transcend brochure helps

I know that. Thing is when you go to the deal page it says "Transcend Ultimate 32GB Micro SD (SDHC) Card - 20MB/s - Class 10 + SD Adapter". How come it is 20MB/s as the 300x version is up to 45MB/s and this 600x is NOT supposed to be 20MB/s. Look for the TS32GUSDHC10 model name on the google... I posted it for some reason.

Go here: http://uk.transcend-info.com/Products/No-320 for the model shown at mymemory and my upper post.

The TS32GUSDHC10U1 is the product code without adapter and TS32GUSDHC10 is with adapter which is correct for the 32GB Ultimate 600x! (the suffix U1 means no adapter)

Ok, go to mymemory page and look for the barcode... now go at google images: google.com/sea…957

What I see is a simple premium card. Unless barcode and product number is wrong. If it was 600x I will go and buy. Unfortunalety it might not be even if there are 90MB/s references in the page.

MyMemory list lots of words and the odd picture suggesting this is the "ultimate" (90MB/s Read
, 60MB/s Write) although the header line indicates 20MB/s, but then show a product code which is the basic Premium model (20MB/s).
According to Transcend product literature the U1 suffix differentiates Premium and Ultimate models rather than indicating the presence or otherwise of an adapter. Indeed all Ultimate models 8,16,32 currently come with an adapter.
Either way, it is confusing but certainly if I bought one of these from the MyMemory description and didn't get an Ultimate, it would be winging its way back for full refund including return postage as "incorrectly described"

Welcome again with another userid, Weltmeister, another id and first post after 5 mins joining! Read my posts above for evidence including the barcode and the Transcend brochure which had been linked in post #5, in this brochure C before U1 means no adapter. The letter H in the product code is for the Ultimate. I have ordered one for myself today. For £1 difference in price compared with the 300X model it is not worth getting sleepless about the last drop in detail/error. There are other details, pics, product code, description indicate Ultimate 600x.

Actually, both the product code and the barcode appear to be wrong on mymemory website.

I originally posted this in the OP's previous thread and as best I can make out
an 'H' in the transcend product code actually means it includes an adaptor.
"C10" indicates a class 10 card.
"U1" indicates UHS-I class 1

I looked up the barcode for the correct product code and it appears it should be 760557825609 :- upcindex.com/760…609

I still think it quite likely that this is the ultimate product as described, and as Weltmeister points out you'd be entitled to return it at mymemory's cost if it proved not to be.

It is also worth noting that mymemory have a freepost address for returns, so returning shouldn't be much of a problem.

My reply #5 above explains it ( briefly it means means 600 X 150kB/s = 90MB/s read speed (up to ) as 1X = 150kB/s)

Will this work in my go pro hero 3 black edition? I bought a 32gb card with up to 48mb/s write speed but it can't do anything higher than 720p at 60f. So it gets choppy at 720p at 120f and any 1080p modes which is disappointing. Hoping this could be the answer. Also as a brand for the gopro's are transcend ok? Thanks

Look up the manual and support web site to see what write speed is needed. Also do some maths to determine what is possible more accurately. Look at your compressed 720p file size from your Go Pro, divide this by duration to get MB/s. The ratio of 1080p to 720 is 2.5- 3x so you get calculate an estimate of minimum write speed needed. I should be getting my ordered Ultimate within day and I shall post some speed tests here to get you some rough idea. But in any case this 600x is very good value anyway. So if no good I am sure you or friends can make use of it elsewhere.
Edited by: "splender" 13th Jul 2014

And Transcend is an excellent and trustworthy brand, no question about that. But 300x card will provide at least 20MB/s write speed so should be good enough for your GoPro.

Got answer from mymemory:

They still didnt confirm if that's a Premium or Ultimate card.

I think Transcend claim a 90MB/s read and a 60MB/s write speed on the Ultimate, so I think their answer is wrong for either card.

Nice post, immediately I can see from the Diskmark pic when compared with the 300X premium the faster write speed sequential for the Ultimate 600x meant the 512k, 4k, 4k Q32 write are half the speed. This indicates to me that the Ultimate 600x and Premium 300x are the same NAND memory but the firmware difference treats the blocking of write differently at the memory controller. So the 600x Ultimate is better for camera and camcorders. The Premium 300x or slower memory is better for Operating system types of 4k and 512k writes. This explains the tiny difference in price between Premium 300x and Ultimate 600x.

Hi Splender,

Have you received this Transcent Ultimate card from MyMemory?

I'm interested to find out if it is correct Ultimate card because MyMemory could not give me the answer after I contacted them.
As stated, the Ultimate 600x (red/black card) should have read/writes of 90/45 and not 90/20 as on MyMemory's website.
The Premium 300x (red/black card) has read/writes of 45/25 so surely the Premium should not have faster writes than the Ultimate.
