looks good, thanks for the post

Paid £15 for an 8GB card a few months ago! Great price!

I just ordered the Duracell CompactFlash (CF) Memory Card - 8GB - Pro Photo UDMA 300X for £20. OK it's out of stock but hopefully they will get stock soon and honour the price.
I must have skipped this card thinking it was only 8GB. Excellent deal, well spotted.

not great for dslr, need more speed than that unless your a one shot wonder

So is ultrafast not, er, ultrafast?

Depends on the dslr. Works fine on canon 5dmkii.

If you are shooting bursts then the camera just caches and writes whilst you use the cameras other functiond.

Video at hd 1080p is also no probs.

Originally I bought some cheapo cards for back up but I've ended up using as normal and interchanging with my more expensive cf without performance issues.

Exactly, buy normal cards for normal shooting, fine if you have a decent camera. Then have a smaller high speed card for those days you need speed.

Unless you shoot alot of motorsport or sport then I doubt anyone 'needs' high speed cards all the time.
