had mine about 2 years now and is faultless, only downside is if you don't use your car for a couple of days you'll have to re-enter date and time.

Is the battery not built in I'm guessing
I only drive/use mine at Weekends. Never had any issues with date resetting. Good Find ntw.
I would recommend a larger memory card though as the 16gb doesn't record a whole lot of driving on max settings. 64gb works great for me.

Ive had mine for a couple of years and its been spot on,

Managed to reserve one for the rear
Damn I was thinking of selling mine soon with the suction mount and memory card - prob won't get as much for it now.

Still a hot deal as mine has been great and only getting rid of it for a more discreet one as I leave it in the car all the time.
Guys how does it perform in night time ??

I find it to provide a clear pic, may not get intricate details like Reg plates with light glare etc... but not many dashcams will sub £100. It will definitely show something like a pedestrian stepping out in front of you in very dark conditions.

Just to add, if i'm sat at lights then it does indeed get Reg plates etc... It's just when in motion with oncoming vehicles approaching that it can lose a few details.
how long does the internal battery last while not plugged in?
Very very hot price for a great camera.
hot I was looking at this when it was £70 but this is even better

About 10 minutes.
Have people hardwired this in?
I got annoyed with the wire haning in the middle of my windscreen

I expect that it has a super capacitor rather than a battery. Super capacitors are much more reliable than lithium batteries in the extreme temperatures that occur during summer in a compact black bodied camera mounted under a raked glass windscreen in the summer sun, and li-ion batteries are typically not supposed to be charged at much over 45 Celcius so super caps are usually the preferred choice in dashcams.

Can't you poke a long usb cable into the gap between the head lining and the windscreen. I'd recommend running it around the passenger side in case it ever come adrift.

exactly what I do. That way the only exposed wires are the ones coming down by the mirror. maybe someone out there can produce a usb connection on the powered mirrors (anti glare or rain/light sensors so that these can have a small cable to power them and keep them charged.

Get one of these, much better as a dash cam that can be positioned so discreetly that it doesn't need removing constantly for the fear of theft.
Needs to be set up on a pc, or the app might be able to do that now, but it's brilliant and have one in each of our cars tucked away under the rear view mirror. Can't even see it from outside the car.
Cost is about the same as one of these too.

I bought mine last year. I can leave the car for days and it doesn't lose date pr time. I don't think the newer revisions of this camera have this problem.

Basingstoke has stock in store and on display but too far away for me but might help someone else

that's all dependant on your car and the cigarette lighter power.

Erm, I went away for 2 weeks, came back and the info was still correct, so I don't get this 10 mins thing.
It's not a battery, it's a capacitor hence the minimal charge.

Edit to add:
I would definitely buy another one of these if it was needed.

Stock looks like a pain, great price if you are lucky to have it locally.
For quality this is a great dashcam, what makes it really strong though is it's size. It fits snugly behind my rearview mirror, and most people do not even notice it.

I wired the cable under the trim, down my driver door within the rubber door seal, and then under the carmat and into my charger - again a really neat way of dealign wtih it. The only bit of wire you see is a small section leading from my rearview into the ceiling trim.
