No idea what it's sold for elsewhere, but seems like a stonker of a deal. Heat added!

This is a good deal. I paid a similar price some months ago for the '600' version of this. The performance figures quoted are accurate (conservative, even).
Excellent price for a *fast* 16Gb stick; the fact that is future-proofed by being USB3 is a brucie-bonus :-)

Edit: I couldn't help myself. Despite having the '600' I've now bought this '700'. Of course I used my work credit card as this will be used for transferring files whilst on customer site. Probably.
Actually, I just had to use my personal stick on a customer machine at which point they asked "what on earth is 'Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl'". Could have been worse. Could have been 'Debbie Does Dallas'.

Tempted... I'm still rocking a 16GB Sandisk Titanium which has been fantastic but performance isn't amazing. So durable though! My desktop does have USB 3 too..

I thought this was a gimmick at first, but it does actually appear to outperform the maximum speed of a USB 2.0 host!

Good price. Heat added!

Good deal for what seems like a good drive..Heat added!!

Cheers, need to get me a USB3 card for my desktop now.

You use your personal USB stick on customer sites? I wonder how many viruses you have been spreading around

Whats the difference between usb 1.0, 2.0, 3.0?? Is it different sizes of USB connection?

The are all the same size. The difference is the speed, USB 3 is faster than USB 2 which is faster than USB 1.

However in real-life scenarios there is often not that much difference in speed between USB3 and USB2 flash drives - the main bottleneck is the speed of the flash memory/controller, not the USB interface speed. So a crappy no-name USB3 flash drive will be slower than a decent USB 2 drive

To get a USB 3 flash drive with faster writes you have to pay about twice this price. I have a Kingston drive that is about 3 to 3.5 times faster than this for writes and it’s a joy to use, more like using a slow SATA hard drive than a fast USB 2 flash drive.

looks good, was looking for one of these, thanks
