Make Superion! He's amazing! The kids (you) will love him. The combiners are really quite educational, great for hand eye coordination (they're a flipping good laugh). Normally the Deluxe Class Transformers are rrp £16.99, but they're currently only £11.99 each at Smyths. The Voyager Classes are normally rrp £23.99, but are currently only £16.99. They're also reduced on Amazon.co.uk, though not across the entire range, and with some being sold by naughty profiteers for much more than they should be. This deal is primarily instore only. But there should be plenty of stock in most stores.

You need one Voyager Class (e.g. Optimus Prime or Silverbolt) and four Deluxe Class toys to use as limbs. Any Deluxe Class will form any limb (arm or leg). My recommendation, if it's for a younger child is to go for Optimus Prime as the torso (he's a bit easier to transform than Silverbolt, has fewer steps), and use pretty much any four Deluxes for the limbs. I personally used Optimus Prime, Firefly, Skydive, Dragstrip (to get a decepticon in there for variety) and Alpha Bravo. Okay, so that won’t technically be Superion, but it still makes a great big robot that’s surprisingly poseable and articulate. For Superion proper, you’ll need: Silverbolt, Alpha Bravo, Firefly, Skydive and Air Raid. But in all honesty, the plane type Combiners are all very similar and may get a bit boring. So go for whatever. There’s a new wave due soon, probably why the current ones are reduced.
Important! Not all Voyager Classes will make a torso! Optimus Prime, Silverbolt and Cyclonus definitely do (as does Hot Spot, but that's not on sale), but for the others, it’s best to check first. Four Deluxes and a Voyager would normally cost £92.00. So this is a decent saving. Get them now, before they go back up to silly prices. The main link will take you to Smyths, but not all are in stock online.

“Autobots! Transform and roll out!”

Here are some Amazon links just in case anyone wants to buy from there, but as mentioned, they’re not all reduced/at the same price as Smyths

Silverbolt:

Alpha Bravo:

amazon.co.uk/Tra…avo

Firefly:

amazon.co.uk/Tra…AMC

Skydive (£12.99 NOT £11.99)

amazon.co.uk/Tra…RP8

The rest of them on Amazon are all unfortunately ridiculously overpriced by third party sellers.

Alpha Bravo isn't an aerialbot/part of Superion, the other one is part of a later release (Quickslinger? I think, another jet not helicopter) heat added anyhoos

Thanks for the correction. Actually, I only went by Hasbro's marketing pictures to know which robots to use. Typical that they'd get it wrong themselves.

Unfortunately, he is. Due to Slingshot (Recently renamed Quickslinger) being killed off in one of the recent IDW comics and being replaced with Alpha Bravo.
The aerialbot which was meant to be part of a later release is Air Raid, who Hasbro have said is not going to be released in the UK

I vaguely remember something like that, now that you mention it. I don't really keep up with it that much. I just like the toys. Good bit of info though. And it is a shame that an entire wave of the Combiners isn't making it to Europe. I think they're the best, affordable, proper Transformers that have come out in ages. Check out Forbidden Planet (forbiddenplanet.com). They've got some listed as arriving soon that aren't officially being released. They've got Devestator listed for an eye watering £143.99. Not sure if it's meant to be coming out here officially as I've not seen it listed anywhere else. Someone's pulling the old Dollar for Pound trick though, it's only $144.99 on Amazon.com. which is nowhere near £143.99!

Not a patch on a Frenzy_Rumble Custom Superion though

You can pick up Air Raid from the US for around £30 incl shipping if you're desperate. Bit the bullet and ordered it to complete the set for my son's birthday. Heat for great deal - wish I'd seen this sooner as I bought the rest full price at Toys R Us.

Where's that from, amazon.com? I thought about getting some from there before, but every time I've ever ordered something from amazon.com, or amazon.co.jp, I've always been slapped with a customs charge. Forbiddenplanet.com do have Air Raid listed for preorder, £14.99, expected 30th July. Kids birthday though. That's a bit of a red alert emergency if ever there was one!

Picked it up on Ebay. Figure and shipping were £12 and £17 respectively which is a little steep. I did have a preorder with Forbidden Planet which I have now cancelled. My urgency (and paying over the odds) were also birthday related!

The same seller has got another for sale but looks a little more expensive unless you make a successful best offer: pages.ebay.com/lin…web
