I saw these last weekend and got 6 jars, although after trying one I don't think there any better than the Tesco's value jars at 18P.

i bought a couple of jars, thought they were nice, added some veg etc with them and thought they tasted like any other high branded label

you'd have to pay me to eat this, it really is the vilest tasting stuff on God's earth.

you beat me to posting this - Im hoping to spice it up with some chilli

Common as muck. All the super sheds do their own equivelant. Watery rubbish. Sorry, i know it's cheap but it's not good value. You'll need to reduce it down, add more tomatoes, herbs, seasoning etc to try and get this sauce to taste better. Cold from me.

That's what I do and cannot tell the difference between it and Dolmio extra spicey. Just a great £1.00 odd saving

This is better than Tesco's "value" 18p sauce, which really is poor, and has been 18p for ages. This 20p one used to be more like 60-70p a jar I think, why they lowered it to have two cheap pasta sauces I don't know. This has quite a bit more tomato in it than the 18p one though.

But obviously if you're used to better quality sauces you can still easily tell it's cheap. I've been eating this 20p one for a while now, tastes OK with a bit of tomato puree added.

Sorry, I have to disagree.
I bought some jars last week, and have used it twice.
i think the rest is going in the bin.
I added puree, garlic, etc and it still tastes bland and Ugh!
It is taking up space in my cupboard - if they paid me 20p to take it I would refuse.

Each to their own I suppose.
I am broke, but I would still expect better for 20p
No way would I ever be fooled into believing this was a "well known brand"
I have never used supermarket own brands, so do not know what they are like, but if it is anything like this - I'm glad I have managed to avoid them

I used this instead of passata when making a ragu, as long as you add all the other ingredients, garlic, shallots, celeery, carrott...etc...then cook the sauce in, it's pretty decent. but on it's own I agree, not the best but then I only paid 20p....

Back up at 38p a jar now (shows this price online and seen in my local Southampton store today).
