Travel Anywhere in Scotland for £15 Return with Sainsbury's

Found 24th Sep 2009
From 30 September to 20 October 2009, if you shop at a Sainsburys store in Scotland you will receive a Scotland by Rail voucher which entitles you to purchase up to two of the following tickets in one transaction:

* £15 flat fare anywhere in Scotland;
* £15 flat fare anywhere in Scotland plus free travel for one child (5-15 years).

Once you have collected your Sainsburys Scotland by Rail voucher, simply buy your rail ticket at a staffed ScotRail station or via Telesales on 08457 55 00 33 (quoting Sainsbury's offer).

You will also be able to buy your ticket online from this page from 30 September 2009. You must remember to take your voucher with you when you travel if you book by phone or online.

Outward travel is valid from 30 September until 13 December 2009 inclusive. Return travel is generally valid for one month from your outward travel date.

Travel is valid on all operator's services in Scotland after 0915 Monday to Friday. There are no restrictions at weekends.

Tickets can be purchased on day of travel or up to 12 weeks in advance.

Please note there are major rugby matches in Edinburgh on Saturday 14, 21 and 28 November 2009. Trains to and from Edinburgh on these dates will be very busy and seating cannot be guaranteed.

Great stuff voted hot

hot from me ..... used this deal last year. Excellent post, thanks

this is a right good offer for me, travel every couple of weeks from Lanark to Huntly, even using advance purchasing cheapest single usually costs around £25 single ( due to rip off prices on Aberdeen to Inverness route). Need to collect some tokens!

The problem is finding a Sainsburys in Scotland ) One in Inverness, one in Aberdeen ?

one in Stevenston
.... glasgow .... edinburgh .... dundee .... stirling .....

There's even one in Inverkip (population : 1600)

Thanks for the heads up stocious

Tried this at the weekend and it worked a treat

I take it that the 20th is the deadline to get a voucher from Sainsbury's and not to book your ticket, does anyone know?
