Travelex do this every now and again -previously its been 2-3% better than their normal rates which are market leading anyway . I have the Travelex Cash Passport (Preload Card ) anyway and much better than travellers cheques . If you're after foreign currency ,either cash or on the Cash Passport ,you should take a look - I very much doubt you'll get a better rate anywhere.

Travelex's current rates don't impress....not voting, as the 'deal' is tomorrow

Not much use posting it tomorrow -2 hours isn't long to decide how much you want etc . If you're after travel money -see whats on offer elsewhere then check out Travelex at 11 am tomorrow ,I doubt you'll beat their offering .

Thanks, was going to leave it until Friday and collect at Luton Airport, but just noticed that you can no longer pick up at Luton!

Interesting!

The Travelex Website quotes the regular M & S rate not the preferential M & S rate that I get as an M & S credit card holder or M & S Bank account holders get.
As for the cash passport card, can you cut that into 10 parts and leave 9 in the hotel safe?

I noticed that a while back when travelling from Luton. I used the ICE website and printed off a voucher before going to Luton. Got a slightly better rate.

Never buy or sell at any airport unless you've booked to collect - Rates are a Scandal!

That's a great idea, I'm going to load one with €1000, and safely carry around only €100 of it... Why had I never thought of that!

Well if you write the PIN down you might as well give the money away - if you don't- as safe as any card . Keep it in the Hotel Safe ,take it out to draw cash from an ATM then put it back in the safe . Is that too difficult ? Lots of places especially in France don't take travellers checks these days .

I always prefer using Money Corp. They have constantly got better rates. The good thing with them is that they are OK to pick up at the airport. You can BLOCK a certain amount online even a few hours before u go to the airport, and their website does not ask you to pay straight away. Once you block the money, take the printout and go to the airport. They will then see if the rate has become better, if yes they will give you the better rate and will make you pay on collection (i prefer). If the rate is worse, they will honour the rate you booked at. I have used them and yet to find better rates, even for obscure currencies.
Plus you end up getting Avios as well...

Lol.... Has the Euro increased????

Maybe by 0.03 unless full site is more than mobile site?

Been waiting for 24 hours - no special price on the Euro!

You can get 122.5 on the high street so not a massive deal.

No deal on Lira either

It's all a con, I spoke to them and they said it has increased, which is a lie, it was the same at 09:00 this morning.

I get €1.25 on my halifax clarity card via ATMs with no fees

I think there must be a glitch with their website -prices haven't changed to reflect the Happy Hour as they have done every other time they've had one .
