In a recent Travelodge poll, Bradford was voted the worst place in the UK to visit.... id agree.

If the Pennines are the backbone of the country, Bradford is the @r se hole

the worst one i ever stayed in was 4 yrs ago in Preston normaly these romms are fine clean ..... but this one must have had a very smelly football team staying in it for a week without washing

not worth £19 !!!

my own

spent two nights at the kendal lodge and found it great (for 19 pounds)...People were moaning about it being awful...cant see why ..it was clean and well loacted for the lake district...there is no where near to eat really so you really need a car to get around...Its built in the style of the rest of the stone buildings upthere an looked kind of quaint...felt the lake ditrict was way over-rated if anything...didnt compare to Scotland or West of Ireland for example...at the same time glad I went....:)

If you've ever stayed in a Hotel F1, a Travelodge room is the height of luxury in comparison!

the worst one i ever stayed in

They have some in Barcelona for 10 Euro a night!

Great price, watch for them charging you twice - based on experience of this, voting cold (there is a thread on MSE about others who had the same experience).

Bournemouth Seafront is well worth £19

Got to agree, stayed in an F1 in Calais, what a hole!!!:-(

Just stayed at St Austell Sat and Sun £12 a night excellent deal. It has food and drink in the Travelodge plus coffee shop next door and McDonalds yards away.

Most Travelodges are good value for money,at the offer prices. So far the only one which was "Six Feet High" in dust was YEOVIL.The cleaning staff were all outside the building having a "Fag" etc., which went on for ages. I noted this to Travelodge on their review form I was emailed, but no comment was forthcoming. If you book Yeovil take a ruler and measure the dust height under the Bed.

You'd agree because you've been there then?:whistling:
Another remark that's got nothing to do with the posted deal.:x

Apparantly a good one is the Newcastle Silverlink - this was a Menzies hotel up to a short time ago. The Burford Cotswalds is a bit old but lovely Location - you can walk into Burford from the hotel - have a beer and nice meal and walk back. On locations - I went to University in Bradford and live in Wakefield , these respectively are the worst and second worst place in Britain to visit - with Wakefield having the highest number of pound tat shops per square foot anywhere in the UK. Also worst hotel ever stayed in - Swallow at Preston- holes drilled in the doors we had to fill with tissue paper and grout in the bathroom that someone had put on with a piece of drift wood??

I can reccomend Manchester Central. 5 min walk from the town, only snag is about ~£8 per night parking but then once you are there no need to move car as there is so much close by. Been 3 times and the rooms have always been spotless and well looked after.
Don't go to Nottingham central. Had it not have taken 4 hours to get there I would have left again. The travel cot they gave for my baby was so dirty I wouldn't put her in it and the sheets were prob left on from the previous occupants. That is the worst one we stayed in but have stayed in about 15 in total and all were fine for the money. Breakfast good too if they have a bar cafe.
Now gonna see if I can book one near Stafford as start my hol on the 31st July so fingers crossed

I usually just park in didsbury and bus it into town (about £2 return on the magic/blue bus)...have done it loads of times....you could probably go further down towards Rusholme...

It use to have a nice pool etc but they took it all out. Easy to get to,just off the A19 2 miles(if that) north of the Tyne Tunnel (toll). Turn out the hotel and go east and you will be on a beach in 5 mins and go west from the hotel you will be in Newcastle in 10mins. Also home of George Stephenson(the rocket).

]THIS deal was between 2nd May and the 5th Sept from £9. All they have done is adjusted the dates and put the price up. Even though it say up to the end July there are still rooms for £19 in Oct and Nov!

Bournemouth Seafront seems to be popular.
Isn't that where people go to retire?
Do they do mugs of steaming hot coco instead of tea and coffee!

anyone have a discount code?

off £19?

22nd October was 5 months ago when the hotel opened, and i have stayed there on several occasions and it is a great hotel in a fab location! Enjoyed Prezzos restaurant with my Tesco vouchers!! had a fab night

stayed at Preston and Bath last year for £19 a night. Both are a dump of a hotel. Will not be staying there again, bad experience with travelodge.

perfect for a nights kip after a stag do. Hot. cheaper than a long taxi home.

boring.
