Found 5th Nov 2008
Just received an email from Travelodge saying that they are having one of their famous £9 sales starting this evening at 9pm. Rooms will be available to be booked from February to April next year!

If you know where you want to stay and the dates, use the mobile site to avoid the normal site deciding not to work. Address is travelodge.co.uk/mobile

Sorry, just reread the email it says Thursday evening but keep your eye on the site as they always start early. That said, this is the first time they have announced a sale starting at 9pm.

Hi,
Does this include April or is it up to April? I need loads of cheap rooms for my stag do in early April, do you think these will be in this deal?
Cheers,
Nick

It says it the email "to April" but I read that to include April.

Not bad, not bad at all!

I too still have a couple of £9 rooms - but will happily part with some more money to take on this offer

I am sure Quidco used to give £3.60 per booking before (so you could book 2/3 days bookings are separate one and get 2/3 x £3.60!!) but does not appear to be listed anymore.

I occasionally use Rpoints and they give 3.6% on Travelodge - I think the others are similar, so actually £8.68 per night!
Please report any other cashback sites that offer similar or better, and PM if you need help signing up to Rpoints ;-)

Thanks

Check out MSE, www.moneysavingexpert.com.

It's in the latest email, probably where the OP got it from.

Good deal and good hotels ( usually). But a bit of caution because when I last used the Bournemouth TL they charged an extra £3 for car park. But still good overall price. Don't know if this is nationwide.

No longer listed on quidco

I have some £9 rooms booked for London still (£5 extra per night for car park)

Will probably book more though, we always take these offers, can't really knock Travelodge's especially at these prices.

Good point about the car parks - the edinburgh central one charges 10 squid for the car park....still, it is dead central and great value when you get the cheap rooms! H+R :-D

fantastic.

we are sick of Sun £9.50 holidays. we went on 4 these year and the weather was **** on every break.

least you have more control over your dates and times with the travelodge deals.

hot thx.

Don't forget that they now charge a fee for Credit Cards.. I found this out the other month when I booked for Manchester (New Found Glory gig) - they never used to :-(

Be aware that the credit card booking charge is £1.50 per booking. I believe if you book loads of rooms in one go you still only get charged one lot of £1.50. Of course, as past experience has shown you may find if you try and book loads of rooms together, the website will crash due to volume of people and you will lose the flipping lot. What a conundrum!

Bookings for stays between 30 January 2009 and 4 May 2009 (From Email T&Cs)

Brilliant. Thanks a lot.
Avoid the Billingshurst Travelodge - damp and dirty when I satyed there - and favouraite for "Least helpful receptionists 2008"!!

And just for you cheapskate romantics out there - Valantines day is on a Saturday. :whistling:

Always a fab deal. £9 a room is great, heat added!

Is this all of the travel lodges, and what type of rooms are they for?

not all the travelodges. popular ones, eg lake district are rare. and not all days are included, its hard to find a run of 3 days without an expensive day in between.

Sunday nights ARE often included whereas not a lot of Friday nights are.
there is usually a reason for it being cheap. eg we booked a Sunday night in City Road London and could not find a pub, snack bar open, even though there were many closed.

Thanks for the info, made it a lot clearer

We are hoping for Penrith for 1 night in march, but doubt it will be included. Worth trying though

Nice find

Only one of the nights I need is on sale £29-but that's only if I book separately, I need two nights- but if I choose two in one booking they both come out at £49 per night. I don't want to have to swap rooms-or try and find somewhere to keep my luggage whilst I'm at the theatre! Hmm.
Anyone know how to do it so I get the one night at £29 for the same room? Ta.
