Voted cold as nothing available in Manchester or Liverpool in July / August. Its like the easyjet / ryanair headline rates but you can never find the deal they quote.

Sproutyuk clearly said that deal "Available from Thursday night (not sure of the time they will added)"

Voted hot in anticipation.

csiman - your reading / assimilation skills voted cold

I've never stayed in a Travelodge...are they any good? It's just the thought of no restaurant and them being attached to Little Chefs that is enough to put me off.

csiman: that's because it doesn't start until tomorrow! :whistling:

I'd still vote cold in any case as Travelodge are for pikeys hence its regular slot on watchdog etc. And the website clearly shows £15 supersaver deals on their homepage but none show up when you search.

I've used travelodges a fair few times on my travels & never had cause to contact Watchdog.

What problems do these "pikeys" encounter ??

I've stayed in one so I must be a pikey too. :?

Are you a pikey csiman? (or were you just looking for a room as research).

all the £15 rooms are available now as long as your willing to spend £26

so for an extra £11 you can book your room now

i've used travelodge countless times when going to concerts etc and i've never had room for complaint - cheap and cheerful

where else can you get a friday or saturday night in the centre of London for £26 a night???????

needed to book london central for a sunday outside these dates so bagged me a £26 room.
Had forgotten about this offer so thanks for pointing it out.

Don't forget you can now use topcashback for £3.60 cashback on Travelodge. I booked 2 rooms last week and they tracked ok.

:roll::roll::roll:

Hopefully the travellodge I'm after will come up, fingers crossed!

we got an amazing deal on the last sale they had during half term at Easter 5 days for £75!

Lol, my thoughts too.

Aren't they also used as knocking shops for erm, ladies of the night?

They don't serve food. They're attached to a Little Chef in some god forsaken awful location. Where do I go to pay £15 to ensure I don't ever have to stay in one?

Some of them have their own restaurants and some are also adjoined by pubs,i.e. the travelodge at York central has it's own restaurant and is also adjoined to a Wetherspoons establishment, serving very reasonable meals including breakfasts.I have stayed there myself on a £15 deal and it was the best value for money room i have ever had.A 2 night stay with evening meals and breakfast taken each day at wetherspoons worked out at approx £50 for 2 people. In a city centre that is tremendous value.

RedOnRed and csiman, you both appear to have a misconception about travelodges.I agree that some places especially old motorway ones leave a lot to be desired,i tend to use these if i have just arrived back from holiday in the middle of the night and need somewhere just to lay my head. But if you get in early enough, there are many modern great city centre lodges.Don't knock them till you have tried them.

I've stayed in about 15 different travelodges and none were attached to a little chef! All the ones I have stayed in have had their own restaurant inside or been next door to a pub/restaurant like a brewers fayre, frankie and bennys that kind of thing. The ones i have stayed at have been in fantastic location near everything we want to be close too! They are great if family/friends can't put you up or you need a stop over somewhere :-D

That surprises me as all the ones i've seen are attached to Little Chefs and as LC owns them I suppose it makes sense.

We (myself hubby & 2 kids) stayed in 8 different travel lodges last year, all great deals (£15 or £26 rooms) and never had a complaint with any of them, apart from one had a fight in the room up above and the window got broken, but was delt with very well. The one in Norwich we stayed in was brand new & really nice, Also stayed in Inn keepers lodge this year which was 29.99 for a family room including breakfast & slightly 'posher' than travel lodge, but no complaints with any of them, will certainly be going again soon!

I totally agree, in fact we were so impressed by the one in Norwich centre we went back & stayed there over christmas, Christmas eve & christmas day, thats me DH & our 2 kids (spent the days with brother but he dowesnt have the room to put us up!) was great, only down side was no breakfasts being served at Christmas, which at £6.50 a head for full english & continental, self service, & kids eat free is great!!

Booked a room for a birthday surprise for my girlfriend , no expense spared and only the best will do.....travelodge!!! Im looking forward to my breakfeast at littlechef 2!!! mmmmmmm :).

Do you think she will like it? i might even layout some free stuff i got through this site on the bed. (I hope i get that free lube in time).

Some dates are available already, do you think they will release more on Thursday? Or have they released them early?

Hmmmm

Oh yeah, she'll definitely be surprised alright.

Anyway, a Travelodge is where you're suppose to take your bit on the side not someone you remotely care about.

The motorway service area ones will be attached to Little Chefs, because they used to part of the same group. This hasn't been the case for years now though. Many of the modern city centre ones now have their own bar cafes.

hopefully you could get some free cinema tickets around the same time. LOL.

we stayed in one near london last week and it was clean and had friendly service.

We stayed in Travelodges on at least 5 occasions last year and found that yes, they are basic but they have all been clean (a lot cleaner than the Express by Holiday Inn at Stoke on Trent we stayed in last week anyway!).

We all got Annual Tussauds passes courtesy of Tesco Clubcard points so have had some extremely cheap family weekends away LOL

Where else could we stay for the night for £15 for a family of 4/5 ?

Travelodge gets a thumbs up from me anyway

Yup, Travelodge is a perfectly adequate place to stay if all you want is somewhere to lay your head. If you are looking for fancy, then it's not for you.

Does the £15.00 include crumpet? :whistling:

John

We have used Travelodges and always found them to be clean and friendly.

Ok, you dont get the toiletries thrown in and a pen and notepad. But, you get clean bed, towels, TV, kettle etc.

Ones we have used have been attached to both Brewers Fayres and Little Chefs.

Basically, if you just want somewhere to stop over thats clean, cheap and not over fancy then its for you.

good deal

Excellent deal, we have stayed in these quite a few times as a stopover before we go on our holidays. We are from the South Wales Valleys and normally travel from London/ Manchester which can be a gruelling 3 1/2 hour drive, not good with two young children. We stayed in the Manchester Airport Travelodge in April as we had an early morning flight to the Dominican Republic, we had the £15 rate but would have paid more, some of the airport hotels in Manchester are terrible including the overrated Manchester Airport Marriott Hotel. It is fairly new and all rooms are clean and tidy. We are staying there again in August when we fly to Florida. Why? Because I would rather have more spending money than stay in some overpriced dump!

Do you get clean sheets and bedding for £15?
