So you need to buy 2 for it to work ?
Yes. One plugs into a wall socket + into your router, and the other plugs into another wall socket + into your device's Ethernet port via a network cable.
What's the point of a gigabit Ethernet port if it's only 500mbps?
What am I missing. Seems to be £26 for a set (2) of 500mbps powerlines. Cold. You should be going 1gbps for that.
Only av500. I have av2000 for last 4 years

did they also only cost £12.99? I bet your internet connection isn't Gigabit speed. Every single thread...
Voted hot. But if you do need AV1000, this looks to be a better deal: amazon.co.uk/dp/…7SX

Because there's no such thing as a 500Mbps ethernet port. It's either 10/100 or 1Gbps.

It’s 2019 and I still think 4K is a total waste of time. After bandwidth and compression you’re barely better off compared to a good 1080p source.

OK then. Maybe you should get a Decent 4k TV then and you would see a difference and how does compression come into it with 4k Blu-ray. I will admit that 4k hdr/DV on Netflix is poor but prime video's 4k stuff looks way better but it's still not a match for disks or rips.

I have one thanks. And obviously compression comes into it, because what’s the majority of what you watch? No one sits around watching Blu-ray after Blu-ray.
