Some more detail on the product would be useful.
Googled and reviews are generally poor, seems to be the best price though if you want to take a chance on it.
Reviews on Amazon aren't good but that could be from people who have difficulty setting it up.

For the price it's maybe worth trying. I wouldn't expect the range to be great but for a single user just browsing then it would be fine.

Extenders halve data throughput and slow internet speeds significantly, so not good.

Cold for me.

So what you are saying is that all extenders half the speed, OK thats fine, but the question is ''Is this a good deal for £5.99''
The answer surely is yes.

If the question was ''Post the best wireless networking solution'' then I could understand you voting it cold
OOS
Could I use this as a wireless bridge to connect my cctv system (no WiFi only an rj45) to my router

Is it a good deal for £6? No.

It just makes internet speeds unbearably slow. Instead of your computer feeling snappy when loading web pages, everything feels ultra sluggish. It drives you nuts after a while when you're waiting 10 seconds for some web pages to fully render.
We have this debate every time an 'extender' is posted. No one has yet proved to my satisfaction that the signal strength/distance is extended. As the post says, coverage is extended (round corners!) and it can eliminate blind spots by strategic placing, but the onward signal can only be extended at the strength received so will degrade at the same rate as the original would.
all gone
yeah I've read all the comments but people seem to be missing the most important point - "the off white housing blends into the environment".

show me one of these trendnet extenders cheaper?

the point of this site is to show people the cheapest places of getting a particvular product.

not to tell people what they should and shouldnt buy
Mine arrived today and great - my smart TV is now connected by cable and at long last will connect to the internet!
