Triple Nectar points on fuel
We’re giving you triple Nectar points on fuel between 15-19 September, so you really will get more miles for your money.

Useful information. Thank you.

It's a shame Sainsbury's award only 1/2 a penny for a £1.13 spend on fuel normally. At least that will temporarily become 1.5p per £1.13. Tesco and Morrison's are more generous with fuel points, but their food just doesn't taste the same.

I presumed the Nectar points on fuel were now set at 1 point per liter of fuel, I agree the 3 per liter is better but as scratch1964 says above, its such a small amount to start with, I wish they hadn't dropped it from the old system where you got normal Nectar points on fuel.

Gahhhhh it would be! I filled up yesterday £65! Thanks tho OP!

I didn't know Sainsburys gave lower points for fuel? That's not good. Tesco here in Warrington give better points, but the fuel price at there is always higher than Sainsburys.

Thanks for the info.

Asda is cheaper for fuel than Sainsburys
No-one fill up that often in 5 days to make it worth while!

Is this in-store only?

In the old days of 2 points per £ you could soon build up a decent amount
I was filling my van up 2-3 times a week happy days doing 1500 miles a week not

1point/litre for fuel in Sainsburys normally.
Tesco give their normal 1point/pound spent on fuel (and 1 Tesco point = 2xSainsburys)

It's a total swizz! I wonder how many people think that Sainsburys give normal points for fuel!

TBF i'd rather fill up at shell with a points card and get better fuel.

Do you buy fuel in store????:p

"so you really will get more miles for your money"

Hmm, interesting. I'm still spending the same money, and getting the same amount of petrol in my tank.

Of course I realise it simply assumes that I will spend my extra Nectar points on more petrol later on - fair game I guess.. Which I reckon would work out to give you back less than 0.9% of what you originally spent. So if you can find your petrol 1p cheaper elsewhere, then you've basically saved the same money that Sainsburys offer in extra Nectar points!

Nah usually if sainsburys or asda are close to each other they will compete and become the same price within a few days.

Obviously if Sainsburys are the only one in miles then no reason to put it down i guess?
