Useful for steam irons and for use when changing coolant in a vehicle

Distilled water should really be used when changing vehicle coolant.

Thank u

Used to add to old car batteries in winter to make sure battery holds enough charge for a cold start, not sure if it is done any more.

Most are sealed these days

Bought this the last time the deal came up. Delivered via DHL so I have no idea how they turn a profit on it.

Can I drink this stuff?

You can yes. But it's super bland.

De-Ionised water is distilled (purified) water. De-Ionising is just one method for doing the purifying, it filters the water through beads which strip the impurities from the water. Another method is Reverse Osmosis which filters the water through a membrane, other methods include boiling and freezing but the bottom line it's still purified water.

The reason it's super bland is because there is no impurities Strangely all those numbers for calcium and fluoride give water a flavour.

Yes, but not for drinking. It's acidic, as acid is used to de-ionise it.

Indeed, they are. In the olden days it was a must to check/add deionised or distilled water in car batteries at the start of winter.

I use to run tap water through a De-ionised filter to purify it but had to read up on different methods to find the cheapest way to do it. Never tested it with Ph paper but I would assume as it's just purified water it would be 7 on the Ph scale. Nothing else in it, just H²O so neither alkaline or acid.

They are both purified to different extents but it isn't true to say de-ionised water is distilled water.

I ordered 5 at 11.15 this morning, had notification at about 4pm to say they sending 3 on one shipment and 1 on another shipment. so am 1 short.

Make sure to check emails

Yes, in exactly the same way that urine can.

Possible doesn't necessarily equal sensible.
