TCB: 3.03% so possible down to £10.69 for a 5L fully synthetic engine oil

Good price although I do not think cash back at 3% equates to over £3 cash back more like 30p

No. The viscosity is too different. Any oil is better than none but you are much better off sticking with the correct specification.

As long a the viscosity match and it's fully synthetic you need the fact one says VAG makes no difference.
So when i type my vehicle reg in this oil shows up therefore i assume its compatible with my vehicle.
However, same registration on eurocarparts only shows 0w30 oils??
Apart from the viscosity indicator, there are also many different grades of engine oil to suit a variety of engine types and performance, not to mention aditives suitable for different catalitic converters. It's crucial to get the correct version, unless your shoving it in an old banger and not worried about your engine! Your right that it doesn't have to be VAG approved, but you do need to check the oil spec code for your particular vehicle, end ensure it matches the oil you buy.

The one above is much superior to C3, VW507, cheaper too at about 16.75 each. No idea who Brit Oil are, I've tried to find them, no luck. It says it's VW 507 approved, not 'meets'.

It's not suitable.
Why is it every time there's a oil deal folks ask if it's suitable for their car. If you cant check the cars manual or look it up, are you really capable of a basic oil change.?

quick tip. Eurocarparts work out cheaper than cp4l for oil filters this weekend.

saved myself another £2
