hot fae me ....just what i was looking for,for downstairs loo.

Heat given for the price.

But an 8.5kw electric is still going to be pretty feeble.

GF has just bought a new place and will be wanting to beef the shower up a bit. Problem being if you stay full electric, they're all a bit feeble compared with running off a combi or a pumped tank. But if she switches away from electric, it'll cost a fortune.

Going to try and track down a 13kw electric. I'm sure they're out there somewhere!

Be aware that if you increase the power of the shower, check that the electrics can take it, otherwise you could burn the place down!

Oh, and heat for the deal!

False economy getting a low powered and budget shower. Someone I know got the £55 Triton 10.5 from Amazon and mentioned on here and it is a pile of ****

So much so that he's ripping it out and buying a Mira 10.8 for about £120.

Ugly

But decent price

Good price, but if you like your showers hot its not for you. Water pressure at a decent temperature is pretty poor on 8.5kW showers.

Tell him he will be well pleased if he buys a Mira Vie 10.8 as I have just fitted one in my house and they are brill with plenty of hot water and at a decent pressure even now in winter.
Make sure though that your cabling is thick enough to supply the power because most houses aren't and that included my 8 year old house were I had to rewire the shower supply.
Get it wrong and you can burn your house down!
