batteries or a couple of cars for kids:thumbsup:

Does it have on/off button? Or is it just a dial to turn on the shower?

thanks have reserved

If its like our one we have it does have a on off switch and a seperate dial for temprature

This is identical to the one we have at home, worked great for 5 or so years, but now the dials are very stiff to turn. For this price though, a great deal!

Which voucher is this? ...Have I missed it somewhere?

Don't forget the cost of plumbing and wiring it in!
It MUST be installed by an electrician (or competent person) who can issue a "Part P" electrical certificate. This is a legal requirement! I hate these. I just don't like the idea of having all that electricity just in front of you when you are naked and wet!

Spend £50 and get a £5 voucher has returned. Spend £100 and get a £10 voucher. Hence the note to buy something small to get you over the £50 mark!

Triton showers are not the best
Your best bet IMO is new team or mira, mira are really good but you are paying a lot of money just for the name.

Still its a good price if you want a triton

I don't either, especially when I splash the dials, worry It will get inside and electrocute me.

Just reserved one until the end of the day tomorrow - there were only 2 left near me!

Looks a good deal, now all I have to do is get a mains water feed and appropriate electrical feed up to the shower!!! Anyone had experience of how much this might be???

Alot more than than the cost of the shower. Electric Cable, Fused Spare, Pull Cord and of course plumbing materials, should cost around 40 quid for the average home. But then 2 hours of a sparks time and 2 hours at least of a plumbers time to be added. Thats of course providing you wont need any remedial work such as tiling. Make sure you get a Part P certified electrician and he carries out an earth loop continuity test. For your own sake.

How powerful is this shower? Is it worth spending a bit more for something better?

I've got one reserved but in two minds.....

Cheers for the info, I suspected as much - yes will need to make good on the tiling etc after all of this but can do that myself, but would definitely want it all done 'properly' so guess I could be looking at a few quid to get it done...

Know what you mean...do a search on here for 'Triton' and you'll see that there's been other deals on here that are comparable or better for similar models.

From what I gather though, £50 for an 8.5kw Triton is pretty good....

Is a 8.5kW power rating for a shower pretty low?

I'm sure most I saw in B&Q the other week were 10kW+?

Is the difference say between an 8.5 and a 10+ kW shower just in how hot the water gets or does it also have an impact on the speed and force of the water that get's propelled out too?

Electric showers heat up the water as it moves through them. The higher the wattage the more water it can heat faster hence more powerful at a higher temperature.
Notice how most showers get lower powered when you turn them to a higher temperature.

Presume you mean a fused spur?
and if it takes a sparky 2 hours you need to report this to rogue traders.

luckily i know an electrician but i have to say we have lived here 10 yrs now and this is the second triton shower that has gone wrong but i thought for this price it was worth it as mine is half hanging off the wall due to i needing a part which my OH thinks will cost £33 so it isnt worth it incase it isnt the correct part

Thanks for this - as a first time house buyer whos gutted the whole place and doing everything from scratch - this is great.

i wire showers everyday FREEZIN WOLF some can be done in a hour mate some may take up to 4 hours all depends on the type of property mate,i have no idea why you would need a fused spur for a shower.i think he means RCD. £40 is abit underpriced also costs nearly £100 quid just for 50metre of 10mm twin + e.

Voted hot got the last one at my local Argos.
What is the difference between The Amber II and Amber III?,

what is the difference between electric showers and power showers?

8.5kw..........not Worth A Ham Shank !!

8.5kw..........not Worth A Ham Shank !!

Ditto.....really low power ... you get what you pay for ...and in this case it's a really cheapo Triton shower...

Also the RRP for this at Argos is over inflated ......it's only £69.97 at Plumbworld ...

plumbworld.co.uk/tri…416

found this just in time!. just reserved the last one at glasgow silverburn, this is perfect for us as we rent out a flat and need to put in a new shower.
