Just found the triton shower for only £39.99. It must be one of the cheapest branded showers out there at the moment. What a bargain!

59.99?

Just bought 39.99.

Wasn't impressed with the shower I bought a couple of years ago but a phone call to them sorted it out. I'd put the dial in the wrong way around (very easy to do) and it's been great ever since. Impressed by their customer service in Warwickshire and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one from them.

Hot shower (_;)

At 8.5 kW, this is a little short on power. I wouldn't like less than 9.5kW. It will work OK, but not as good at delivering a good rate of flow of hot water, especially in winter. Good, but not great. Not voted.

Thanks Op, Ordered. Needed a cheapish shower unit. Heat added.

Got one of these at work, terrible.

Very susceptible to variations in input cold water flow and it's currently out of action because a relief valve has activated and so water pours out of this valve rather than through the shower head.

Good price, thanks op. Would've bought one but got the Amazon £45 job instead.

Never liked the idea of electric and water, if the element breaks down you will get a shock. Probably because I had a shock in an electric shower as a kid I suppose and put me off them.

Looks a good buy so heat.

If wired up correctly (earthed) the chances of a shock are minuscule, especially when you consider that nowadays the circuit will be protected by an RCD so only 30mA of fault current needs to flow for the power to be cut. If the element's insulation goes the current will flow to earth via the element's case, not through you. I reckon there are more important things to worry about, like how inadequate this shower will be on a cold winter's morning!

No RCD's in those days, wired fuses lol!

what was the £45 one...and if I have an 8.5 in already do I need to put in anpther 8.5 or can I put in a higher kW?
Thanks

Depends on your cable size. If 6mm then only upto 9kw. 10mm cable allows over 9kw.

£59 £39 its hot for me

I bought one of these recently and it performs better than my other 10kw Triton that was more than double the price. The difference appears to be water pressure, its very strong in the property with the cheap Triton, but poor where I have the more powerful one, So I would factor this in - wouldn't have bought an expensive one if I'd known that it will only work before all my neighbours get up and after they have all gone to work!,

Screwfix always have these at this price!

better off getting the 10.5kw one for £59.99

bought 10 for our rental properties

Yeah when I click the link says 59.99 as well. so confused

The annoying thing with this is some Triton showers have a non removable PRV, so it's new shower time when they do go. Still, at £40, buy two and keep one for spares.
