Nice 1, been and picked this up today to replace our Creda Shower(never again) Just awaiting the Plumber now.
white one is often £50, £100 for one at Wickes mind
Worth mentioning that the 9.5kw is a tenner more @ £60 (reduced from £70) too
Does anyone know how I tell what size kW shower I need, I've moved into a property where there's a fuse for the shower on the fuse box and a switch in the bathroom for the shower and the light comes on when pulled. It looks like it's ready for a shower to but I'm confused by the different kw's of showers?
If you go for a higher KW shower(over 9KW), you might need to upgrade your cable and fuse ?

This one should be fine.
ps: I recently bought two of these for £100 so that when the 1st one goes, it's an easy swop regarding where the pipework/electrics are located
Higher KW means more hot water flow.
Either hotter water, or higher flow water at the same temperature.
In winter you need higher KW for the same temperature water typically.
I need an electric shower for a garage conversion. Is this something I should get? or is there something like an electric boiler that I can use for both kitchen n bath?
I put a Triton in and a month later the low pressure light won't go off and no hot water. apparently it's a common fault with a sensor in it. can't return it as its out of warranty, pretty gutted as it's a fairly expensive push button type.
Had one of these for three years, it hasn't broken however i am still thinking of changing it as it is pretty terrible.
Poor pressure & shower head leaked after around 12 months.

Ok if you are on a tight budget but more premium models are definitely worth the extra cost.

How is it out of warranty a month after you bought it?
8.5kw?

I'm going for a wash in the dribble I call a shower .....
Rubbish showers, mine lasted about 3 months. Buy a Mira, much better value in the long run.
How much am I looking to pay to have one of these installed? Assuming new wirings need to be put in since the bathroom has never had an electric shower installed before

bought it and didn't get round to installing it for about a year
Our work courier said the most common faulty products he uplifts are Black and decker goods and Triton Showers! literally everyday.

Maybe but you don't know the % of returns. Also this unit has a 2 year parts and labour guarantee so I would think if anything went wrong with it then they would send somebody out to repair it.

You could still take it back, the Sale Of Goods Act says things should last for as long as reasonably expected and you'd expect to get more than 13 months out of a shower even if you'd fitted it straight away.
The problem is if you have hard water, like myself in the South-east, the lime scale accumulated inside over about 12 months will reduce the performance. You will notice when this is happening when your shower head starts to show sign of block. I don't know if other brand can do better though
