HOT, Been looking for a 8.5kw to replace an old one. Electrician advised me not to replace my old one with a 10kw which are readily available at most DIY shops. Thanks OP.
I think I've lost track of how many of these cheap Tritons I've had - cheap and cheerful - but rarely last more than 2 or 3 years (depending on use). Perhaps I should fit a quality electric shower - any suggestions?

in 22 years I have had about 4 in total, original included and I don't know how old that was when I moved in. Now I think about it, I might have replaced a component once too, but usually it's as easy and cheap to just replace the whole unit.
Good price. Been waiting for the black to drop in price.
Still £65 ATM.

Mira Sport shower I have fitted a couple: never had a problem, seem better quality and better fitting instructions compared to Triton and Mira guarantee to have spare parts for 10 years

Just fitted one of these like for like for a Madrid that lasted 8 years. Used at least 4 time's a day.one before was 7 years. Hopefully this will be the same.
Got 2 of these in my b&b - no complaints or issues whatsoever- great price
My Triton sucks.
All the crappy 'chrome' coating has peeled off.
Would never buy again.
