Trolley Coin 29p at Home Bargains

Found 22nd Mar
key ring and trolley coin at Home Bargains going for 29p. Usually these are a pound everywhere else, there's a variety of choices here going for 29p each.

Very useful when shopping with a card and we don't have any pound coins for the trolley.

Some supermarkets have announced that their trolleys WILL still take trolley tokens and the 'old' (current) £1 coins. Others have got rid of the need for any type of coin for a trolley.

Just what I needed, I also got a chocolate fire guard today too

Or just use bolt cutters, for free

Tell you what else to use, and if you don't have a trolley token with you and Damn you go to a shop with no trolley token, but remove one of your keys from your keyring and Hey presto the handle of the circular keys fit in the trolley. Discovered this just by trying.

It's quite difficult to always have a pound coin handy though!

Read above comment I gave the comment heat 29p is worth it but when stuck a key works

free @ Sainsbury as well

Or just use one of those "charity chips" that Tesco annoyingly give you for free at the tills- they work for the old pound size anyway!

Random Tesco trolley on our driveway for free lol. Kids know how to have a good time round here

No no, use this, and then when it's time to return your trolley, loiter near the entrance a while and eventually someone will give you a pound for your trolley. Bonus 71p! (Don't actually do this.)

A bit tight are we?

I always have a £1 in my back pocket just for this.

Plus you do realise any shop will breakdown a note for the coin.

I remember when you could buy 24 packs for a £1. I'd go to Morrisons and hang about the bay selling my trolley for a £1. There was good money in it back then

If you don't have a pound use a hair clip if you have one to hand. Works just as well and it doesn't matter if you forget about taking it out as your money/token won't be in there.
